kithood [ 0 - 6 moons ] >
Rosekit was born safely in the hailclan nursery during a hard leaf-bare. her 2 siblings tulipkit and icekit died from kitten-cough when she was very young, and her mother had also gotten sick, however she quickly recovered and blossompelt went back to nursing her. as a kit she rarely left the nursery, but enjoyed collecting things which she decorated her nest with. her father leapordfoot visited often, and encouraged her to get out of her comfort zone. she also wondered what was a rose? where can she find one? and it better be pretty! she would visit the healer often to learn about the herbs, but not the yucky plants, but the pretty flowers: she was once caught stealing a poppy to decorate her nest after a visit.

apprenticeship [ 6 - 12 moons ] >
after being apprenticed to moosetail, rosepaw started training with the other apprentices, and talking more, especially to blackpaw and honeypaw, who slowly became her best friends. they trained together all the time and did their tasks together, and rose became so pre-occupied with her duties she stopped collecting things. soon rosepaw fell out with honeypaw and focused on training more vigorously, learning a trick using mud to blend in the mountains to hide her pelt to hunt better and cool her down more. when she and blackpaw did their final assessment, they ran into a pack of coyotes. blackpaw ran to get help while rosepaw and their mentors stayed behind and soon leapordfoot, fernstrike, willowtail and snowpelt were by their side, helping them drive off the small pack. they were successful, but snowfur was injured badly and leapordfoot was killed. rosepatch and blackpaw earned their warrior names when they came back to camp but she couldn't concentrate after the death of her father. she sat a vigil for 2 reasons that night, one for her warrior ceremony and one for her beloved father.

warriorhood [ 12 - present moons ] >
blackstripe and rosepatch were happy with their names, patch being for rose's rosette patches and blackstripe for his striped tabby pattern . rosepatch soon recovered from the grief of her fathers death, and spent lots of time with blackstripe. they soon became mates, hunting together and affectionately sharing tongues at the end of the day. however on a hunting patrol an hungry eagle passed by and attempted to grab him, blackstripe was too heavy however and fell, soon dying from blood loss and a bad head injury. rosepatch was devastated and buried her nose in his now-cold fur the whole night, silently sobbing. greenleaf came, and she started working harder for the clan, and looking after the elders more. all she wanted now were kits of her own to look after, someone she could love...

228: Rosepatch was hunting on a warm green-leaf day and so immersed in trying to find prey, bumped into juniperthorn. She decided to share a bit of a mouse she had caught, knowing the clan had already eaten and she could get more. She sat next to him in a sunny clearing and passed him a scrap. Xey didn’t take it that well though and she got mad, Rosepatch, who was slightly scared of juniperthorn, and decided to just take her chances and run, scrambling up a tree in case she had followed her. Luckily they decided not to tell on rose but she still avoids him, nervous and guilty.

a few moons later the clan learned about the empire poisoning their prey. halfmask had managed to kill one of them, and she respected him highly for that, especially considering his age. He retired short after but him and his patrol found out a cat named snake (of course it was snake, since poison was the perfect weapon to accompany that little weasel) had came with two others to scatter herbs around the area, where prey would eat them. most of the camp had gotten sick from the prey, including rosepatch. it was an unpleasant experience to say the least, and rose worried for the kits, whose fragile bodies were weaker. She reminded on of the younger cats, hazekit to take his medicine and listen to the herbalist, hoping that the little kit would be spared, as many other clanmates died. once out of the den, she worked hard to try find good prey for the clan, killing and disposing of any prey that looked off. it wasn't an easy task considering the harsh winds that came with leaf fall, but the entire clan was also trying to help and they managed to get by.
The next few moons seemed to drag along slowly, until a large group of cloudclanners arrived in hail clan. It turned out that the empire had driven them out of cat, and many of the cats were stuck in the tunnels or had to take refuge in Hailclan or Marshclan. A certain cat called Heronbrook whose company she actually enjoyed. It was crowded and loud at camp with the extra cats but heron made it all a little more bearable, and rose realized that she kind of started to ..like him. They ate prey together and shared tongues, however it didnt last for long, as Rose knew deep in her heart that they could never be together, and her loyalty to the clan was stronger than her love for the tom. They slowly drifted apart, before Heronbrook went to marshclan.
Quite a few more moons passed in silence before the clans finally decided to launch an attack on the empire. it was early in the morning when the group rose was in headed out, and after a while they spotted some enemies. An emberclanner named Timberwolf attacked one straight away while rose decided to sneak up on one from the trees. Her groups fight was easy seeing as there were only 2 empire cats, but it turned out to be a distraction from the fact the empire had attacked the camp! the cats there defended it however, and at the end the clan cats won. The cloudclanners reclaimed their land, and the cats who had been staying in marshclan and Hailclan went home. Her heart ached for spiralroot and badgermask who didnt make it, especially seeing as one had been their troubles didnt stop however, as a strange disease starting going around the clans, and many cats who caught It didnt make it, despite the herbalists best efforts.
A moon passed and newleaf finally arrived, new shoots grew out the ground and flowers blossomed in some areas of the territory. Thicketstar stepped down as hailclans leader, which meant moosecra- moosestar now actually, was made leader. He decided to name heather dance as deputy, who gave out flower crowns to everyone afterwards.
the clans decided it should be called wasting disease, an rightly morbid name for the disease.
a few moons later a baby bear stumbled into camp, and with it came its mother bear. they killed multiple cats and injured many others, and the warriors den was even crushed! Rose was one of the cats who were awake but still hiding, and luckily she managed to leap out the way before the tree crushed her. she decided it would be no use fighting this huge creature and headed to the nursery to make sure things were okay there.
