... and what a bump it is.

Like I said on my last piece, I've been experimenting a lot with different techniques lately and I have to say I am really enjoying it. I've been studying and observing a lot of digital artists out there trying to get a better grasp on lighting, composition and depth, and I'm doing my best to remember all the important bits. It all boils down to trial and error and experimenting with a lot of different things, but I did learn a lot just by observing how other people do things. It's made a lot of impact on the way I normally work, one of the more obvious changes is my recent shift towards a wider landscape crop. I feel it serves a lot better if you have a story to tell because you get that movie-like quality, as opposed to a portrait crop which I feel works better for character presentation.
Anyways, hope you like this new direction. I'm looking forward to doing more.

EDIT: Fixed the neck so it doesn't look like the head is floating in the air.
