A very conceptual representation of following ones dreams and desires.

In this made up world, the luminous dragonfly is something breathtaking and awe inspiring. The girl can only admire it from afar because the dragonfly has a way of slipping out of her sight in a blink of an eye. The only way to fully appreciate the dragonfly’s wonder is to completely devote herself to one single mission; to follow the dragonfly everywhere it goes, but to also make peace with the reality that she will not always be able to keep in step with it. The dragonfly will sometimes sore higher than she is able to reach, but if she keeps going and giving it her best, she will eventually be able to catch another glimpse of the dragonfly in all its glory, and be awash in its warm glow.

This piece was inspired by the work of MarcelaBolivar and her use of textures as actual elements of the image, rather than just a texture itself applied over the finished piece.
