Wow, it's been a while since I've done anything lion king...7 months, bloody hell its been a while. I wanted to do something lion kingey as the remake came out a few days ago...I went to see it day one (I am going to say my thoughts on the film below but they might be a spoiler so heres a warning.
I've done Simba twice before but I really wanted to spend time doing it, and this is what I got, though I dont like the Whiskers. The background is simple but I think its fine.

Ok so the remake was average, the voice acting was a little bad in scenes. I was not a fan on how scar was shown in this film, the original was sarcastic, charming but devious. The new adaptation seemed angry and a bit of a cliché villain. I did love that fact they went showed how Nala left to find help, I feel that was a well needed scene. They did a lot right: keeping the original Hans Zimmer score, having James Earl Jones reprise his role as Mufasa, showed that there were more cubs instead of just Simba and Nala and sticking to original when it came to Mufasa ghost. But in the end I don't feel like it recaptured the original's feeling and heart.
