I'm going to learn to draw him too. Eventually.I ship Soundwave and Knock Out so hard it's not even funny. The pairing probably makes no sense, as I've never seen the show, but I read "Easing Tension" and I was sold. New OTP. (But lol not really.)
Anywho, that one in the middle there is my horrible horrible attempt at a face for Sounders here. It's.... so much uglier than I want it to be. ;A; But oh well. I guess I don't design pretty things.

Actually, you aren't the only one. My bro *CatalystSpark and I wrote and have completed 24 chapters of the "Forbidden Longing" story (we have 6 chapters left to finish) back in April 2011. The pairing actually does make sense for multiple reasons, my bro and I talked extensively about it prior to writing our story. Feel free to read it if you like. I started it and wrote for Soundwave while he followed my lead and wrote for Knockout, and the rest of the characters were written by both of us, so it is definitely a collaborative effort.
The Prequel chapter I wrote will dictate some edits I will be doing to the original version and the edited version will be in image files to match the prequel chapter while the original version will remain texts.

Well, I certainly never thought I was the only one who shipped them, hahah; I just figured the pairing didn't make much sense because I don't know the characters. I don't watch the show, and don't intend to. But they seem like polar opposites, from what I can gather. Soundwave seems rather stoic and distant, while Knock Out seems pretty vain, cocky, and loud. Also, an "automobile enthusiast." Soundwave.... well, honestly, I have no idea wtf Soundwave's alt mode is, but I'm pretty sure it's not an "automobile." lol. I just think they're pretty together. @^@

Soundwave's alt mode is a UAV Surveillance drone (though he himself is not a drone). They do have similarities that are shown in canon, though. Both only use minimal force necessary to get things done, and every time those two have directly confronted humans, they did not kill them, let alone cause undo harm (save for the one time Knockout ran a street racer off the road for deliberately scratching his paint job). Even when fighting Autobots, they both use non lethal weaponry and minimal force to subdue, and even when Knockout goes to use his saw blade, he hesitates just enough to be thwarted rather than lashing out immediately like Megatron does. And Soundwave may be silent and reserved, he still keeps himself pristine, as you would see in each episode.
You honestly should watch the series, the animation is top shelf and the stories are really well written and interconnected, keeping consistency throughout the series. Actually, there's something about the animation that I just can't stand. I don't know what it is, but I don't enjoy looking at it. I'm also incredibly uninterested in the human characters, so I can't bring myself to sit through it if the only character I actually like is Knock Out. (And I really only like looking at him.) I mean I kind of like Soundwave, to an extent, but not enough to keep me interested.
I tried watching the show twice, and both times just sat there fidgeting, watching the clock, dying to know when it would finally be over. I think I was spoiled with TFA. Granted, that show was by no means fantastic, but I liked it so much that anything else just fails to hold my interest.

Honestly, I can't stand TFA at all, the animation and designs are hideous. Prime is a lot better and the stories get more involved as the series progresses. **shrugs** But to each their own.
