He's right, though the strong way to say it... Acept it first, then, develop it...
I see you was using the flash, it's nice for what you're looking for, but not with the subject so close from the wall... The dropped by subject shadow doesn't looks nice on the wall... Besides that, the flash light is too flat... You should try putting it in other place, not assembled with the camera...
By the way, the model attitude is right, also his pose... I recommend you looking more in deep through nude galleries... There are many serious photographers about this "body's" topic

you make it very easy.... but thats not true.
the reflection on the wall was the idea and gives more espaciality(effects). he HAVE TO stand close too because then the shadow is much thinnner and so forth
its not a result of low skill. like it or not
