Description
A scrap in the true sense of the term.In fact I have images generated by some research programs built with programming tools I code myself scattered on all my desktops wallpapers (giving me a digital equivalent of huge posters all over the walls surrounding my desk, of in the case of this picture, a digital whiteboard). It's by constantly having those pictures over the eyes and idly visually studying them that bits of comprehension and inspiration arise, and sometimes those bricks magically assemble themselves in front of my eyes. Like was the case tonight. [link]
This scrap picture was the center one of the key moments of my discovery. It is some fractal topology based on the topological space Q/Z (the abelian group quotient of the group of rational numbers by the (sub)group of integer number).
As a peculiar matter of fact, this picture (or rather what it was before I slighlty modified it in Gimp to get the submission picture) is the wallpaper that was behind my code source editor (SciTE) window on the 5th desktop in my recent desktop environment snapshot [link] .
