Doing Crazy Things for Love
“Honestly Ash Ketchum, I don’t think you have a single romantic bone in your body” huffed the red head as she turned her back on him
Who can blame her? She’s been feeling lonely and frustrated. Between her responsibilities at the Cerulean Gym and his with the Pokemon League; She never gets to see her boyfriend, the current Champion, Ash Ketchum.
He may have grown and matured in the physical sense, but in other things he was as dense as ever. Of course she would never ask him to change, she still enjoyed that boyish charm. But is it too much to ask to have a little bit of romance? His idea of a date is usually training or battling pokemon, but even a gym leader needs a break. Plus a Champion even more so.
“We haven’t gone out, just to be out” she continued “I’ll take anything at this point, even something cliche like a dinner and a movie.”
He shifted a little, edging closer to her
“I just… I just want to be with you. I want to do something different, something exciting. I want… I don’t know…”
“What do you want to do?” he asked her in a very calm voice, a little too calm she thought
“Surprise me,”
As if awaiting that command, he grabbed her wrist and twirled her around to face him. He leaned towards her and grabbed her waist and supported her neck as he dipped her.
She stared back at him, wide eyed. At some point he had grabbed a rose from the vase on the table. He had this mischievous look on his face that she hadn’t seen since their first kiss.
“Wh-what?! How in the…?”
“Surprised?”
“When did you?”
He lowered himself and rested her on his knee. With his now free hand he removed the rose from his mouth and touched her nose with it.
“I’ve been taking dancing lessons for few months now” he said as he stroked her cheek with the rose, “just for you”
Misty’s heart was aflutter. She couldn’t believe that he would do something like that. With his busy schedule and all, how did he manage time for dancing lessons? It must’ve taken a lot of sacrifice on his part.
She smiled at him, not being able to find the words to express her gratitude. He grinned back at her. But then the devilish glint in his eye returned as he brought the rose down her neck, never breaking eye contact as he brought it down her chest to rest on her stomach.
Misty felt hot and flustered, but she wasn’t going to give him the satisfaction of having power over her. She took him by his face and pulled him into a kiss. She then grabbed the rose from his hand and with a mischievous look of her own said as she placed it between her teeth,
“Show me what you got, Mr. Pokemon Master”
