or at least not off screen, Serena's braixen was revealed to have evolved off screen. Braixen is a more popular pokemon then Delphox thanks to fucking Serena's so to have it evolve off screen into a less popular pokemon is annoying. It always annoyed me that Iris's axew evovled off screen too but at least since they decide to make it so iris was champion so she needed to seem powerful which mean evolution was needed. However this is about serena, not iris. The most common thing to see is people saying it's to show her growth as a pokemon trainer. So then i suppose we should go and evolve some of ash's pokemon too. Yes let's evolve snivy into servine or bulbasaur into ivysaur, because that shows how ash is becoming a stronger trainer.... Oh wait! To be a strong trainer isn't about evolution, we've been over this message for the past 25 fucking years! That's a dumb explanation. If anything Serena should have been given another pokemon as she only got three, and why not give her a mega since she is the kalos girl. Another problem with Serena having a delphox is Aria has a delphox, so in universe it makes her even more of a second Aria, kalos queen. By having a Braixen instead it would show a slight difference between the two in the eyes of pokemon fanbase in the universe. Please stop trying to defend a bad decision. If they had evolved braixen on screen like in the last few episodes of xyz, i wouldn't have as much of a problem with it, but evolving an iconic pokemon like serena's braixen off screen is insulting espically when the only reasoning is so stupid that it spits in the face of what pokemon like pikachu, piplup, and bulbsaur taught us. evolution isn't the same thing as growth.
