WARNING: Controversial stamp ahead! Please leave a mature comment or else your comments will be deleted. I MEAN IT. I have nothing against transgender people. I'm just trying to clear up a common misconception that too many people nowadays have.

It seems like lately, some people seem to think that if a person cross-dresses, then it means that they're transgender. Being a cross-dresser is NOT the same thing as being trans! A cross-dresser is merely someone who wears clothing intended for the opposite sex. A transgender person is someone whose gender identity is different from their biological sex. They're two different concepts. A man who wears women's clothing but still identifies as male is not transgender. Also, cross-dressing is usually not transphobic - most cross-dressers don't have the intent of mocking trans people. It's usually done for comedy, especially in theater and pantomime, and it's been around for centuries. I honestly don't get why people these days think that if a person cross-dresses it must mean that they're transgender. (People these days seem to interpret lots of things as "transphobic".) Just because two things sound similar, doesn't mean they're the same thing!
