I love the way it opens! Better yet, the designs inside are beautiful. Nice work.

I love the unique packaging as far as soap. It's nice to see something so completely different, this would sell really well for gift baskets and such. Then the bottles themselves work extremely well with the packaging. But I couldn't imagine the bottles on their own, I would keep the packaging

Cool, I'm glad you like 'em. A few people have expressed their interest in the product itself... I guess I should figure out out how to make good soap.

The boxes seem like a lot to work through just to get to the pump. If I purchased a product that was essentially a soap, the packaging would need to be a lot more romantic for me to feel good about opening up a box such as that.
There is also the issue of waste. After a person opens this box to get to a standard soap pump, the box will undoubtedly be thrown away since it cannot be reused for any other household purpose. This is quite wasteful, when the package only needs to actually be the soap container itself.
If you take the details and graphics on the interior of the box, and apply them to the pump bottles, it will create the same effect but also cost less to produce and create less waste.

Thanks for the thoughtful critique. I totally feel you on the uneccessary waste.
While you can't tell from the photo the box is constructed without any glue and is very easy to open. It is also perforated so the middle section, the part with the graphics and related quote, can be separated and kept. The amount of people that will actually do this is slim, I know, hopefully within the targeted demographic the percentage of people that will do that is slightly increased. Also the box is made out of a minimum 30% PCW. With some additional research done, if this was set for real production, I'm sure a higher percentage PCW material could be found.

At the very least, you might explore a cardboard material. They tend to be more PCW than bleached papers, and also have a nice organic feel to them. I've also seen egg carton material used creatively in packaging. It tends to use less paper, all of which is PCW.

Spiffy. Do they actually work, or is it just concept?

Well lets just say the only thing that's actually in those bottles is specially formulated house paint.
