Backstory : When Edward was young, and until the age of 14, he used to live alone with his mother whom he admired a lot, because to him she was the sweetest and nicest person on earth. Edward’s father wasn’t a part of the family anymore due to being a violent alcoholic, who used to hit his wife almost every day and treat her like shit. Edward and his mom lived a happy life, until one day, his father decided to come back to « talk » to his ex-wife. Edward was cutting some vegetables when he heard his parents shouting in the living room, following with a « bang ». He decided to check on his mom, but what he found was his father with a gun and his mother, lying in her own blood on the floor with a hole in her head. His father tried to talk to him, convince him that his mother wasn’t who she pretended to be and that he had to kill her. The knife still in hand, Edward jumped to his father’s throat and cut it open out of rage. Not being able to think and figure out what to do, Edward ran away from his house. From this day, Edward was left to tend to himself because the only family he had was his parents.
During a couple of years, he was homeless and lived in the street, trying to find work wherever he could. He worked for a lot of different jobs during 6 years and got a lot of experience. Usually, he lived in the house of his employer, after convincing them to let him live with them by promising to help around the house with different tasks. One day he decided to enter the army, mainly because he was being promised a house as well as a good revenue. At the age of 21, he met a girl named Marie. She was a nurse at the nursing service of the camp. Marie reminded him a lot of his mother; kind, joyful, always doing her best to help people around her. They fell in love with each other and decided to get married the year after. 2 years later, Marie got pregnant and decided to quit her job to take care of her child. Edward got permission to be off duty for the next year so he could take care of her during her pregnancy. He was 24 when his daughter was born.
Being a soldier, he was present at his house only during his permissions which usually lasted around 1 or 2 weeks. Saddened by the whole situation, he left the army to be a cop and therefore be more available for his family. With the money they both earned, they bought a new house and started a new life together. He loved his new job and they lived peacefully during the next 12 years.
At the age of 35, Edward got called back on the ground for the incoming war due to lack of soldiers. He wanted to help his country, so he apologized to his wife and daughter and said goodbye, promising that he will do anything to come back to them alive.
The war lasted 2 years, during which he fought and was traumatized by the atrocities he witnessed.
One day, he got shot in the chest. Being between life and death, his surgeon told him about an experiment that was being tested. This experiment was about a mysterious serum that could make anyone stronger. The serum was also known for making your body very resistant, which would cause the wounds to heal almost instantly. The surgeon told him that if he wanted to live, this was his last and only chance. Edward, remembering the promise he made with his family, accepted to be the next test subject. He got quickly transferred to a secret place, where they injected him the serum.

Back on the ground, Edward had become the most powerful soldier his army had. Fighting made him realize that he became invincible and that he was probably able to kill all of the enemies by himself.
His country won the war, but as soon as they won, someone had informed him that some of the enemy bombers had destroyed the town he lived in. When came back to his house, he could only see the ruins left of it.
Edward started to panic and called for his wife and kid, but there was no answer. He tried looking for them under the ruins, for anything until he found his wife’s corpse as well as his daughter’s, lying under a pile of bricks. Being completely broken by what he found, he grabbed a gun and tried to shoot himself in the head, only to be reminded that it was useless. His face starting to reconstruct itself as soon as it was damaged. He stayed with the corpses for one week, not being able to figure out what to do without them. After regaining his senses and mourning his wife and child, he decided he had to move somewhere else.
Moving to England, he got himself a nice apartment, and managed to get hired in a bar by a rich employer. Having a new job and a home, he was able to start a new life and tried to forget about his past, about everything he lost, even though it wasn’t easy, not one bit. One day, after the closing hour at his bar, he got into a fight with his employer. Not being able to control himself (and not wanting to), Edward grabbed a knife and cut the employer’s throat open. He then realized that taking the life of another person was something he actually liked doing. Not because he wanted to fight for his country, but because he loved the feeling of being superior and having control over someone’s life. The corpse of his employer gone, he decided to take over the bar and then became its owner. He had a lot of customers, men as well as women. One day, he noticed a cute girl drinking at a table. He couldn’t help but be reminded of how much he was missing his wife. Thinking he was probably just interested in her, and wanting to live like a normal person again, he offered her a drink and started to talk a bit with her. Since the girl was obviously interested too, he invited her in his apartment and when they got there, they shared another drink. He started to have some pretty weird thoughts about her. She had to belong to him, she had to give away her life to him, let him do anything to her, that she would be so pretty with blood all over her body. He wanted to hear her moan and scream as he was penetrating her flesh with a blade. Trying to fight these thoughts, he told her that inviting her wasn’t a good idea after all making him try to convince her to leave. The girl being a bit drunk from the alcohol refused and got closer to him. She managed to give him a kiss, to which he responded by grabbing her neck and strangling her. She crossed the line, there wasn’t going back, controlling himself wasn’t an option anymore. He took one of his knifes and started to stab her in the stomach while covering her mouth with one hand. He cut through her skin to fully open her belly, causing her guts to fall out. The sensation of being able to do anything, the blood, the warm guts, her heart beating in his hand, it was driving him crazy, he couldn’t stop. Once she was dead, he started realizing what he had done. She must have suffered so much. He was actually feeling sorry for that. Hurting people wasn’t something he wanted. But the sensation was so incredible; he didn’t want to just stop there. He wanted more than just one body.
