Description
Aka: Moon SongOne of 5 other identical swords made by Fenyul, a Lunomir (Moon Elf) who was once an apprentice to the Elder God of Smith and Craft Ciliagorn. Fenyul was a talented smith in Dolun and it was his talent that got him noticed by Ciliagorn who then took him as his next pupil. As one of his best pupils, he created some of the best swords ever forged with one type he called “Viatharis” as his finest work, he only made 5 of this type known as Viatharis and only 2 have been bestowed upon one deemed worthy to possess such a powerful sword. When bestowed on one worthy to have a Viatharis, the sword bonds with its owner as the blade develops a level of sentience almost like a loyal dog and it’s owner. The blade if called upon will go to its owner no matter how far they are away from each other so long as they’re both in the same dimension, it will also fight on its own accord for its owner if necessary or of commanded.
Each Viatharis sword is different in some way in they have different powers built into them, what they are is unknown but the two that were bestowed are known. The first one given to a Halrimvor (human dragon knight) could be used as a catalyst to cast miracles and other spells. The other given to a knight of Vorgos-Zun known as the “Emerald Hero” has the power to teleport and walk through solid objects.
Trivia:
The swords are made of Aethanium metal similar to Soranium only much stronger and more difficult to work with even for Ciliagorn. The metal is very rare and only a small amount remains after using what already was a largely limited supply of it to forge the 5 swords.
The three remaining Viatharis swords are kept in Ciliagorn’s vaults on Dulathoranor where they stay safe and out of reach of the undeserving.
Inscribed on the blade are two things, one on the left side is a blessing devised by both Ciliagorn and the current Godking of Aquathul-Miravis himself Galomayun, This blessing is written in form 10 Divine. The right side is a blessing of the moon once made by Avricira before his fall to the Dark Abyss written in form 5 Elven.
In dark places the blade will glow as brightly as the moon.
The blade will give off a low humming sound when dark and evil things are nearby giving its owner early warning.
Like blades blessed with moonlight, this sword will deeply and painfully frostbite unworthy, dark and evil things that dare to touch it.
