Decided to practice my coloring again, this time using a picture drawn by a former classmate!

and I were in Fiction Writing together and I stumbled onto her gallery when she linked a few pictures in a mass email she sent to our classmates.

Took a few artistic liberties, mostly with the color palette of choice. I debated on either purple (Ariel's normal "shell" color) or the blue for her coat, and opted for blue, since I figure this is supposed to be a standard issue uniform.

I don't particularly like the method of coloring/shading I did for Jim's hair, just because it looks too light. Ah well.
