Description
A curious artillery piece misappropriated from the People's Republic of Udashnaya and heavily modified to make it "Man-Portable"-- to the immediate consternation of all female, differently-gendered, non-gendered and non-human crewmembers. Bets were immediately placed to see who could lift the weapon for the longest period of time. When Tech-scouts from the PRU arrived, tracking targetting software and other hardware which the pirates had hastily removed in an effort to evade such measures, they found a ghastly sight. According to surveys of damage to the pirate airship, investigators concluded that following several attempts to lift the cannon after modifying it, one of the hapless muscleheads dropped the cannon and abruptly discharged the weapon into the ships hull, striking what one would assume to likely be their Quartermaster and/or armory at point blank range*.
Evidently, in their haste to remove the tracking module--but not disable it--the pirates in question had also removed the safety which would have prevented such an occurrence.
* albeit they only really had the smell to go off of. Scouts complained that the epicenter of the chaos, smelling of old socks, brimstone, brine and turpentine, gave them the same fuzzy-headed feeling they got when in the wafty presence of their own Quartermaster--if only slightly fresher. Perhaps only because the Armory, once located in the far reaches of the Pirate's hold, was now open to the cooling night air and far less rank.

May require use of a kinetic-dampening vest to sync up with KD arrays mounted to the weapon--unless you want to throw your back out even attempting to lift the darn thing--and a suit of power armor.
