Wonderful designs, I really liked the "spirit" you gave them! -but I must say, I have a -clear- weakness for spaceships that are build along a single, long, ship-like hull!

I love those designs, the ships just look good. They looks like they would work, y'know? That what I like about your ships... they look shiplike.Β ...but I wouldn't be me if I didn't nit-pick a little...
so: I love me some rail guns... but really, they should be using the rails as the input for a nice mass driver with temperature quenched superconducting magnets for a real high-velocity round. Why accept projectile velocities measured in a few percent of c when you can can 'easily' achieve respectable fractions of c with a nice mass driver? So you need 5 kilometers of rings? So do it... run 'em out on telescoping rails once the ship is on-station and retract 'em when it's time to cut and run. Treat the rails like the towed sonar arrays in '80s Tom Clancy stories... nice to have, but a bit of a liability... it's worth it.
I mean, sure, hitting 'stationary' targets from several light-minutes out and 'mobile' targets from a few light seconds out is cool and all... but you haven't lived until you've sniped an unsuspecting target from three AU away. And when your 'bullet' is a tight cloud of sintered tungsten-ceramic alloy cubes with a combined mass of a few thousand kilograms all moving at 1/5 the speed of light... well... the target doesn't live to tell the tale.

Your designs are space-industrial genius and don't let anyone tell you otherwise! This is amazing stuff... the clarity of form and function, the bold colors and shading... your 'quick sketches' are beyond my most careful study, and your mastery of style and technology is beyond my meager understanding.

These look great! I like their no-nonsense/industrial look. It definitely gives them a soviet flare. But I can also imagine these as some sort of commercial/mining vessels.

Yea, I actually added that to my favorites a while back. Really like the forms of that design.
The comment about the industrial look is appreciated. I was aiming for a realistic portrayal of a (as Khal941 put it) giant 'Fuckoff' gun, similar to theΒ 30 mm GAU-8/A Avenger Gatling used in the A-10 Thunderbolt II... and this seemed to be the best way to do it.
