:.The thing i̍ͯ̉ͦ̋zͮ̒̌̌ͤ̈z, lettle one ...thiz never was ah negotiatiͭͯͭ̚o͛ͮ̏ͪn: The air around the floating member of the Laughing Swarm shimmered as pheromones wafted from her Bonesuit. A haze grew around her suit as carapace split the surface and hardened into fresh rigid armor.
A flash, and an resounding screech filled the room as the walls exploded from the force of a massive impact, and Ansio was lifted into the air. Jiik Syaale raised her hand to her helmeted face and laughed. A voice emanating from the spark filled air echoed her laughter with a childish giggle.

A few thoughts I've had thoughout this gallery ~ There's a certain appeal in the Laughing Swarm to me. It's the same lure 40k's Dark Eldar have..... this is a kind of evil I like. Free from rules, free from even morality of any kind. They go where they want, do what they want, take what they want, kill who they want. And they are more beautiful for it, and do it with better style.

So I have a question. The girl and her "bonesuit" are pictured as separate entities here-- are they both in the room at the same time? I thought she was supposed to be wearing the bonesuit, but it looks like they're separate (although similar costumes, so I'm inclined to think she is controlling it). Also, I've noticed that some characters are suuuuuper tall. How does that work?

There is a bit of confusion, due to the terminology; the bonesuits are still being worn, and the Antibody is something else entirely. The transparent creature in the background is actually an Antibody, a specialized assault/defense life form.
The difference between this image and the previous image in the sequence's bonesuits is due to them being shifted into a heavy defensive form. Their carapace shifts around and grows as needed.
The height is due to simple genetics and advanced medical and dietary technologies. From our frame of reference, the members of the Laughing Swarm are 7,000 or years in the future. Average height and lifespan has improved over the centuries here on Earth, so I extrapolated that growth and arrived at their current situation.

It's all a bit confusing, I know. Too much information is tied up behind the scenes, in descriptions and conversation chains I've had with other people. I have a ways to go before I can make something easy to understand at first glance. (Although that might actually be counter productive to the elements of horror and mystery that form a core to Bright Future)

Who can deny them their fun?
In bonesuits and chemtags the Swarm do sport and with invisible monsters they play.
Beware the Swarm, the Laughing Swarm,
They'll come and they'll take you away!
So fear the Swarm my little Shiks and pray keep yourselves far from their sight.
Against the Swarm, the Laughing swarm,
None can resist their fell bite.
Once you are bitten there is no respite and your days with your sisters are done.
Then the Swarm, the Laughing Swarm,
Do horrible, terrible, mind-destroying bio-psycho-sexual things to you and by the time they are finished... well, let me tell you plainly ... there's no rhyme to what's left of a Shik or Jessick once the Swarm has led them astray.
...with my deepest and most sincere apologies to , , , and anyone who ever wrote an actual poem ever... except H. P. Lovecraft, from whom I learned all I know about poetry, and I'm pretty sure this is better than anything he wrote excepting perhaps 'Nemesis'.

Part of the fun of horror, is wondering if the desperate heroes will survive whatever peril befalls them. And wondering what terrible misfortunes await them.
Although I'm not sure if anyone involved here could be considered traditional hero material.

Oooh :3 - what's the big octopus thing, also, and this is my third time asking, what is an HPVR emitter XD - Needless to say, this is masterfully done and the colors are nicely complemented by the 'cloaked' parts, great work ^^

The octopus looking thing is an Antibody, a defensive biotek entity. Carried on-board all vessels of the Laughing Swarm fleet, they are the cannon fodder. Their size allows them the internal storage capacity for prisoners (alive or else-wise), while still containing enough room for gravity manipulation organs. This allows them to simultaneously float and bend the local EM signatures around them, effectively becoming invisible.

Either move fast, or have an extremely deadly weapon as a mean of self defense. Take poison arrow frogs, for example - they aren't all that faster than ordinary frogs, yet one poison arrow frog has enough poison to kill 200 people. Or pufferfish - one bite out of them usually results in agonizing death for the hungry predator.
