Hey e'r'body, how goes it? This is seriously like all the art I have to show for myself lately. Summer doesn't start until July for me this year, as I'm doing a summer study abroad program. Hopefully I'll find some sort of inspiration in China, but right now I really haven't hardly got time to sleep.Here are some Spyro sketches for y'all. I'm hoping to make a Spyro figurine for myself when I get home so I'm taking some time to try and get familiar with his design. Let it be noted that I almost never do my sketches directly onto my tablet; I'm more of a pen and paper kind of girl. :>
My favorite one is the one of him crashing into the ground. And yeah, I know I draw Sparx like Navi. I just can't draw that guy for beans.

You have an AMAZING way of bringing Spyro to life here, love how you've done his anatomy. He looks like classic Spyro with a realistic update.

Lol, maybe you should try drawing Sparx like he looks in the Legend of Spyro series XD he's easier to draw in my opinion when he's like that than in the original series...

Lol I never finished the original Spyro as a kid (still attempting to finish it now) so when I started playing TLOS I got hooked on how Sparx looked... XD

Spyro was never really the same after the first 3 games, but I think you captured him in a way I wouldn't mind seeing in action. :0

I am VERY impressed with these sketches! ;O; I would give just about anything to draw the head right, I always have issues with drawing any of Spyro's heads. >_> Is there any slight possibility I could commission you to draw a small tut on how you draw his Classic head?

You can draw Spyro very well, although with those wings he's got there, he looks like a mixture of classic and legend, lol. I like the one best where he's walking away with smoke coming out of his nose.

Haha, yeah I guess you're right. I've always drawn his wings with the little thumb claw though--ever since I saw that's how bat wings are structured. I just never got why he had a claw at the first digit. :b

Classic Spyro's wings are actually a lot different aren't they? The outer shape is more like a spider web if you know what I mean. And I think the claw at the end of his top wing is just design, but I think it should have been an extra move that Spyro could have done, he's a bit of a Goonro isn't he? What's a digit?
