Heyooo who's excited for the premier for How to Train Your Dragon 2? I definitely am, but I won't get to see it until Tuesday. :< I wanted to wait to submit this tonight but I'll be up in Minnesota for a wedding I'd rather not attend yayyyy tis the season. So yeah here you go all nice and early-like.So yesss here's a Toothless! This is the first time I've made a concerted effort to draw him in something more than a lame doodle. I think I like the final result. :> Still need to work on making backgrounds that aren't just lumpy green vagueness. Mayyybe next time.

Thank you! <3 The light dapples were so fun to work with. I think the ones on the Vaporeon itself could have been done better but I really am pleased with the background and stuff.

I saw the movie on Tuesday, it was wonderful! The animation was so beautiful, I loved how they gave everyone such cute mannerisms and made every character unique. So. Good.

I saw it and I recommend tissues if you're a crier, cause that movie is a roller coaster for emotions I'm still kind of embarrassed at how much I cried aha haaaa.

Toothless is so adorable in your style, I love the forelegs and the way his head is resting on them. Β And the shading and detail is just gorgeous and the subtle scale detail and that mini-background and - . xD :runs off with your talent yet again:Β

Haha maybe wait until I've developed from just mini-backgrounds to doing actual backgrounds before you run off with anything. x'D I'll get there eventually. But hey at least I can do foregrounds now; that's a pretty big deal. Until recently I usually just did pictures of characters floating in a monochromatic void. :u
Anyways! I'm in love with Toothless and can't wait to see what they do with this film. Dreamworks does a pretty good job with sequels in my opinion (did you see the Kung Fu Panda movies? I thought the sequel was better so that gives me hope.)Β

Yessss, I loved KFP2, I actually loved it even more than the original, which is very rare for me. But I think they did a fantastic job on the new characters, animation, and storyline. <3 KFP2 is one of my favorite animated movies of all time. : D And HTTYD2 was ... on par with the original, I think, which I adored. They expand the universe and characters rather magnificently, and the animation was drool-worthy. I think Dreamworks has really come a long way from their earlier works, and they're now producing some movies on the same level as Pixar.Β
