kinda reminds me of scratchboard. I used to do that in 8th grade art. i loved it. Is that what lithograph is?

No, Its a Linograph. You use a linocutter and subtracty matter from a piece of linoleum, apply a layer of ink with a roller, and then press it to a piece of paper. Speedball is pretty much the top maker for printing supplies.
