After 1944, the world had seen two of the most devastating wars of all mankind, with the prospect of a third against the United Soviet Socialist Republic not unlikely.

But it didn’t seem completely hopeless: Europe (with help) still had an economy to rebuild, and the United States had the Nuclear deterrent. The west had made progress and nurtured new, different ideas, where compared to Eastern Collectivists who sought nothing but to strangle it.

For a brief moment, there was hope that eventually things would simmer and cool.

… But that changed. On the 30 of October 1961, AN602 (also known as “ Царь-бо́мба ”) was tested. It was confirmed that the west had lost its monopoly on the very weapon that was supposed to protect them.

The scientists that held the secrets to the nuclear knowledge, some even participating in the Manhattan project, had betrayed the entire world, handing the information over to the USSR and thrust the world into the jeopardy of nuclear annihilation.

At that moment, throughout the entire world, Belief in “God” as it had been known from over a thousand years in the past had died, for he need not return to kill the world, for Man now had the power to do it himself seven times over with the flick of a switch…

But counter to Nietzsche’s book, he didn’t stay dead – Nay, he’d instead be reborn into something new.

Over the course of the cold war, in a desperate (and misguided, but not really but sort-of) attempt to remain neutral during the worst of the proxy wars that arose from the Cold War... Several prominent Dictators from the Middle East sold their souls to the absolute Evil of Evils in return for unfathomable power.

The Iraq-Kuwait conflict was only the beginning of the revelation of this nightmare. As for now... MOSUL BURNS!
