I didn't have my mind in the gutter (where it usually is) when I saw the first panel, then I saw his flyer and was all AAHHAAAAAAAA! Sako's right: best slogan. EVER!
Right off the bat I saw the heart (Many kudos to you ladies for that one) and wondered if anyone ever asked Thomas if he made that connection between his Electroma tragic-hero persona and Tin Man's quest to become 'human'. Do you think Thomas has even seen the movie? I know this is supposed to be a funny comic but that aspect came off as sweet and tender

The heart on the hoodie was ALL Nell's doing and I actually didn't even make the Electroma connection until I read you comment but you're completely right, I think there's a lot of really subtle commentary in that movie that kind of call back to the Tin Man as a character. I'm not sure if Guy and Thomas were actually intending to make those call backs directly but I'm sure they were consciously making use of the archetype - As far as I know, the only two movies they've directly credited as being "influential" to Electroma have been Phantom of Paradise and Easy Rider, but I'm absolutely sure that if asked they'd site more. Also, if I had to put money on it, I'd bet that they've both seen Wizard of Oz numerous times.

The wizard's line, "A heart is not judged by how much you love; but by how much you are loved by others" takes me straight to Guy's final scene. Idk, it just seemed like a display of what he felt for Thomas' character, and that Guy's feelings should have been the sign that saved them both and justified their quest. But that's the point of the movie isn't it? A movie without conflict is just a PWP, or something like that.

I'm trying to contribute something of my own to this fandom soon. Everyone has done such a great job on their art and literature, and I want to chip in and lighten the load, so to speak.
I've noticed that alot of the daftcraft comics have a soft side to them, and so they all give me that warm and fuzzy feeling. This one did too. It made my night, much like lymEpenguin's made my lunchbreak today!
