Hrrmph. I despise DeviantArt's submission categorization things. My beautiful piece is thrown into the videogame Fanart category with little-kid's scribbles and horny yaoi-fangirls. D:... Such is life. Otherwise, I should've been wiser to submit this into the Mixed Media gallery, simply giving the original creator of the character the deserved credit at the bottom. Seriously, there's good fanart, and then there's bad fanart. And sometimes inbetween. Why, dA, why?
IN SOMEWHAT-RELATED NEWS: Yes, this is the finished picture of the sketch you see in mah dA ID over on my page there. I think I've nailed Nagase down in my style pretty well. 'Cause a) you can still tell that it's her, and b) it's stylized and you can still tell that it's her, and c) it's my style, and I stylized her with a little bit of characature and you can still tell that it's her.

For peeps who are familiar with Enya... I bet you SO TOTALLY CAN'T GUESS what song I was listening to over and over and over and over while I was making this picture. Ho man, I've memorized the damn thing.

You know, I could have swore I saw the same picture (except green instead of blue) in a dream of mine... I didnt remember until now... really its freaky... I know you had/have it as an ID before, but no... the actual finished piece of work... but green... creepy.
anyway, I like the bird alot. seems like a plushie... altough if you hug it you kill it. I am so weird. also reminds me of my dog, how at 3 months old, hunted and killed and ate a bird back in El Paso. Freaky stuff...

heheh I have a random little story for you tht may make you feel good! I was showing my dad deviantart and he was saying how all these artists just follow thed rawing flock.. he was looking through my favourites and sed that artists must find their own style... none of your favs jump out at me... then he saw your Bailar piece and said.. wow.. thats different! He selected it and thought it was marvellous! when I told him you were only 14 he was amazed! He thought your works was the best outta all the favs in my gallery! And that includes a lot of other *bigger* artists

Hee. About the 'stupid bird'... she found it roosting in the back of a jet engine. That's not a good place for birdies at all.
The character's name is Kei Nagase, and she's from the videogame Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War for the PS2 (known as 'Ace Combat 5: Squadron Leader' in Europe.). It's the best game I've ever played since JakII. The story is beautiful and really deep... there are more plot-twists than a bowl of noodles... in fact, the plot twists in AC5 aren't even predictable, compared to JakII. I really reccommend buying and playing the game, I think it's something that all people who appreciate a good storyline can play and love. I thought it would just be a normal crappy flying game... but oh my GOD was I wrong.
GREAT GAME. Go buy it now. You won't regret it, man.

Good luck finding Ace Combat 5!! I know you'll enjoy it. The game may be slow in the beginning, but after maybe the 5th mission, the story starts to get interesting. Like how JakII plays out...
Except you fly fully-loaded fighter jets at dangerously high speeds.

Yeah, the story starts out good, but just a little slow.
The person who tells the story (for most of the game. Sometimes Nagase narrates the story...) is a journalist named Albert Genette, who keeps track of the war that eventually begins. But he doesn't know what kind of a dark conspiracy he'll get tangled up in... some people he trusts aren't really what they seem to be...
But the gameplay:
Fighterjets + 1200mph + missiles + machine-guns = FUN.
Oh, and there's like... 3 HUGE plot-twists in the game... like what NaughtyDog did with the Precursors. Just amazing. Man, I nearly fell out of my seat when I learned the secret to the '8492nd Squadron'... that was truely mind-boggling.
Was probably one of my favorite moments of the game... next to the last level, that is. *woozles*

... Hahaha... yes, fly around really fast... shoot things... and... something really really awesome that gets more complicated than that near the end of the game. By the end of the game, you'll be saying, "OH MY GOD THAT IS INSANE. I can't believe I'm doing this, but--"

Really? Which PS2 magazine? ... Let's see... the sixth game... AC1, AC2, AC3, AC4, AC5, and... ACZ... and ACX.
ACZ = Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War. <--- I like this game. It's the sequel/prequel to AC5: The Unsung War/Squadron Leader. The story isn't as deep, and the music isn't as good, but it's still a whole lot of fun, and they've got some really really good plot points. And I like Larry. Larry= sexy.
So yeah, Ace Combat Zero is the 6th game, apparently... Although I heard someone complain not too long ago that they weren't gonna release it in Europe... D:>
Can't imagine why.
... And then there's the upcoming Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception... for the PSP... which looks pretty badass so far, judging by the fact that there's a huge boss-level with a huge UFO-jet thing that can turn invisible. And I thought that lasers were cool, but that's just awesome.
But for now, just get Ace Combat 5, because it's the best in the entire series.
... Although ~BlitzTactics will say otherwise, but don't listen to him. He doesn't know what he's talking about.
Oh, and yeah... the graphics are really good for the PS2... I forgot to mention that. Especially in the cutscenes... there's a whole bunch of detail and stuff.
I could send you some parts of the soundtrack via E-mail, but I'd have to figure out what kind of music you like... Do you want me to send you techno, 80's rock, orchestral (really good, trust me...), etc.?
