This is probably the first picture in my entire life history of using fancypants artist's markers that I've made an entire image without any linework whatsoever.
I added the black lines after I was finished with the picture, and I like the result. That way, it doesn't smear and it's nice and solid. Although I made it kinda scribbley here, so I don't think that counts.
I got new Copics and Prismas a while ago, and yeah. This is the result. I'm somewhat happy with it, although the scanner gunned down my beautiful/hideous MiGs in cold blood. D:>
Now, I could go into a rant about how much I absolutely hate the MiG-21 more than anything in the world (including animal abuse and Islamofascists), but I can save that for another day. Those who know me well enough will be glad that I'm saving my breath. :3
I think these guys are Soviets, but I can't be sure.

This is pretty nice.
I think its just abstract enough to make the sky and jets look a little otherworldly. It makes the Mig 21's look important, as if they are off to save the world. The colors are realy nice as well, gotta love those freehand skills of yours.

Yeah, Mig 21's are Soviet, but they were the best in their days. And cheaper than F-5's, I think.

I didn't use any watercolours (or paint at all), but Prismacolor markers and Copic markers. It's a 99% marker-drawn image.
And yeah, if there is a few good things I can say about the '21, it's that they're cheap, and (if I remember correctly), were the first fighters in history to have a canopy that opens to the side or something...
