i think both this and the fully-rendered piece have their own virtues. the fully-rendered one may be better rendered and more detailed.. but this one just POPS out at you. i really like it, great job

If anything I'd say less is more, in regards to how much you put into the coloring of this pic versus the standard commission version. I'm a fan of achieving powerful dynamic results with as much simplicity as possible, so this image speaks to me. Great work.
