Description
This legionary slinger is based on Vegetius recommendation for all legionaries to train in throwing stones with slings and by hand in De Rei Militari/Epitoma rei militaris.
The shooting with a shield in relative small space is entirely possible as I have tested shooting indoors in a 2m wide 3m tall 10m long hallway in full armour and shields (pelte, heater shield, and hexagonal Celto-Roman shield) with a short sling. Long slings can be used, but are much more difficult.
