Description
After having sketched the women I wanted to give a try at the Star Trek men ... yet there are simply too many of them. So I started with DS9, and I probably will end there, too. Somehow it's much more fun to draw women (it's very clear that they have been casted according to looks, whereas the men ... not)I apologize to any Brunt fans out there - three Ferengi defínitely were enough for me for the month
-------------
Edit: I changed the compilation so that now no overlappings occur. Friends made me realize that the first compilation wasn't very flattering.

LOL!

Nicely done...every one of them was instantly recognizable. You even got O'Brien right, who for some reason almost always gets screwed up in drawings.

Thank you very much!
To be honest, O'Brien is a character with whom I'm quite comfortable while drawing. I've got my problems with Odo (expressionless face) and Ezri Dax (no idea why, yet she will not turn out the way I would like her to turn out) .

You mean Curzon? He not really played any role in the TV series, not in person anyway. Or Joran Dax?

I really adore your metallic style! One of the best art teachers I ever had told us, "Don't make it look like a photograph, make it look like art." And you've done just that. Bravo! I especially love how the Cardassians came out.

Thanks a lot! Sounds good! At the moment everything I draw is done with a brush "pencil, 6B real soft" which I adore. (for it does what I want it to do for a change
)

Ohey, you added Luther Sloan! Much love for the Cardassians and Bajorans, as always. Especially for Damar, whom I really liked in the show. You did a great job with the Ferengi, Klingons, Weyoun and Odo, too! And I'm happy to see O'Brian there. He has a very characteristic face, hasn't he? For some reasons Bashir's profile sticks out to me here. Maybe because it is the only profile there is. He looks very interesting, somewhat determined.

Oh yeah, Sloan... and his nose looks like he had a glass too many.
When I draw the faces in monitor size they look kind of okay...ish. When I size them down for thecompilation all the problems suddenly become visible. If I weren't that damn lazy I should go over the compilation again.
Yeah, when I scrolled through the screenshots, I instantly liked the Bashir in profile. The first time I watched DS9 I had not much love for his character. Yet when I rewatched the show last year I really started to like him. As for O'Brien - him I always liked a lot. He is so down to earth, so normal.

I know the problem of monitor vs. downsized size. Especially with faces. Downsizing once ruined one of my characters' expressions, because her eyes lost their focus, but when I had the picture it in normal size, I suddenly realised on DA that the picture itself was much more pixel-y than my drawing program had always suggested...
I like the rearranged file even more than the original one. It really is more flattering! Even for Bashir. Did you make any minor changes on the faces, too? (Because I just had a look at Sloan's nose, and I think I can still see what you meant by him looking drunk XD.)

Ah, good to know that it's not only a problem of mine. I guess I should stop sketches like there was no tomorrow and clueing the sketches together, but start aiming for more harmonious arrangements.
I just cut the sketches and pasted them together again without overlapping. I changed nothing (I was way too lazy for that ). Strange ...

I definitively love O'Brien and Odo. Love the smooth shadows on them ^^
I really adore the energy on the drawing of the long-haired Klingon ^^

I like the vibrancy of the long-haired Klingon too, I love this Klingon in DS9 named Chef Kaga
He scares the little Starfleet intern with his gusto (and gives him a huge hug ), but he would never harm anyone
Also, right now I happen to have an interest in the Klingons
Their culture, while spirited and protective, does not require battle to exist - they actually become very kind and welcoming in TNG,
except for that time when the Khitomer Accords break down - thankfully they were restored
And some, including Chancellor Gorkon and Azetbur, are absolutely sweet I have been journaling about them a lot

I like Klingons, I have always found them quite interesting, from the beginning. I really liked the Klingon chief in TOS Errand of Mercy. He was so awesome.
Klingons are really an interesting culture. Such strong personalities. I really loved the female Klingon in DS9 The House of Quark. SHe was so proud, so brave.

Thank you very much. For the Klingon I didn't use the blender so much as for the other sketches.

OK so now I just realise that this is traditional drawing. I don't know why I thought it was digital. Perhaps because you did much digital practice lately ^^

Oh no, you're absolutely right. I corrected the category. It is digital. I don't draw traditional anymore because of the lack of space in our rooms

Ok hehehehe XD
I totally understand about the lack of space I usually draw while sitting on my sofa, a kind of cushion for laptop on my lap, on which I put my sketchbook. And coloured pencils are scattered all over my sofa
