Done for ImagineFX Hand Painting workshop. You can find it in Issue 16 (I also made the cover for that one)
My goal was to create a bold mood without adding too much unnecessary detail.
Painted in Photoshop with some help from Painter. Refs for the pendant and marble (you can see it as a custom brush used for the face marks); light and anatomy studies for the character.
Linen done with a custom made brush consisting of a few lines.

I'm sorry, do you know the book "Die erste Wahrheit" by Dawn Cook (Blanvalet)? You might wanna check, the cover art reminds me so much of your work that I think it (the cover) might be a rip-off of your work =.=
Or could the cover even be done by you?
I went to check, it was impossible to find out who illustrated that cover on that damn book ^^Β°

Which photoshop (cs3 cs4 cs5 etc...) did you use. And I have heard a lot about Painter is that Corel Painter? I don't mean to be ignorant but I am somewhat new to digital art

I think that this is the best painting in your gallery, Although I really like Moth and Pandora as well. I like this because of its simplicity and the mysterious mood. In many of your other paintings I feel that the feeling and personality of the characters doesn't get to shine because the pretty dresses and all glitz and glamour steals the attention.
