Description
A sketch created mainly for the purpose of practicing lighting turned out to look quite ok, so I ended up finishing it. I had loads of fun painting this one and it went along rather smoothly, too

This is beautiful. She reminds me of some mythical creature you would find outside of a castle or a cathedral. Also that you made her hands claw/talon like and her feet bird like. The lace is beautiful too!

The only problem i have with this piece of work is the wings.
The body is fine but if a human were really supposed to have wings, eg stereotypical angel(or dark angel in your case), then would you not make the wings realistic? you have given a huge person a falcons wings. for length, you might want to consider an albatross's wingspan. for height, maybe going half way down the body. Im not quite sure. So yeah, just thought i'd mention it since you seem like the kind of person to try and perfect their work.

Wow. Your attention to detail never ceases to amaze me. My first thought when I saw this was that it was a gargoyle, but when I actually examined it, I realised the hands and feet were very...branch-ish sort of more tree than stone. To me it is still a gargoyle, though...oh and the stain glass window in the background is amazing! I haven't got nearly enough patience to do anything this good so I'll have to settle for cooing over yours, lol
