Some quality work notwithstanding, I do get the feeling that most of the Chrysalides on DeviantArt are getting a bit samey. The endless green backgrounds don't seem to help either. Here's my attempt at doing something different with her.

I had not initially planned to build her entirely from hearts, but it turned out the perfect little gimmick for this piece. After all, the only thing Chrysalis consumes is love, so you'd expect she's practically made of it. Naturally I had to use a pink background, because people before me have pretty much exhausted all possible shades of green.
