Exactly what it says on the tin. I wanted to make something utilising a magenta-cyan contrast, and I picked Rarity for the job. A slightly off colour scheme for her, but a lot of fun to work with. I really sought out the far ends of the spectrum with the highly saturated colours.Created with Gimp and Wacom Bamboo tablet.

I want to lick the colours! Say, when you do a piece like this, how do you choose which colours to contrast with each other?

Depends really. Sometimes it's just a random set of colours I'd like to experiment with, sometimes they will be determined by the character I want to draw. And often I'm not that conscious of my colour choices at all, and it just happens to turn out nicely (or not). I think the best strategy is knowing your colour theory, understand what colours contrast well and then just go play with it.
