Thank you, and it's a perfect demonstration of my new 28-135 USM lens's capabilities in macro photography. This shot is quickly becoming one of my most faved snake pics ever along with the picture Emerald Tree Boa 2. Even the great SilverVulpine faved this one.

I do think that the Emerald Tree Boa 2 photograph is great, but it could use some cropping in closer to make it even better by further showing off the focus detail ^^

Is his eye ok? It looks a bit lopsided.. Maybe he was just looking down?

I think the eye is looking down due to that membrane that's visible right above the eye. I doubt this snake has bad eyes due to the good care that the Toledo Zoo's staff provide for their animals. There were people close to the glass and I guess the snake was looking at them.

Lol I liked how you worded your comment to make it sound like how this snake would sound like if it could talk. Reminds me of Kaa from the Jungle Book.
