Ayana was skeptical of Elliot's ability to make food. She couldn't help but be impressed with how it turned out.
This idea came about while playing DoA5U and during a Tag arcade with Elliot and Ayane there were special scenes where he attempts to win her affection through showing his strength and finally getting her attention. It was also interesting to me how she would how her smiles from him as if she was too shy to show her true feelings.

Let's not forget that during one of the cutscenes in the story mode of the game shows Elliot cooking a lot of food.
Though for Ayane, it looks like he got out of his comfort zone and prepare something gourmet just for her.
