*parries and blocks the attacks, moving with a noticeably overdone grace that can only come from the french's fencing saber style* I cannot be defeated my friend! Paper beats steel! *parries again, initiating a lock down*

*carries his blade low with one hand, the six foot long blade parallel to the ground* Tut tut! In a sword fight, the loser is the one that moves first!

*smirks widely and nods knowing full well he spoke a truth, but not the only truth. With a twist and a pull, he drags his blade along the ground and kicks up dust into the other sword wielder's eyes* One truth in fighting is not enough to have on your side. If you can't see your target, you can't hit it. *starts to pace around his opponent, quietly*

*threw his arm up as the blade was dragged, his reactions saving his right eye from being blinded by the sand, but only one eye wouldn't do him much good in a sword fight* nonetheless he paced around the blade master, smiling as he gripped the long nodachi in an underhand knife grip* Hoo, hoo, I'm liking how this is looking so far!"

*The evil smirk that Spyke wore could have torn through the air with a vengeance but he kept his distance for now; he had the advantage after all. He switched to a front faced, kendo fighting stance. Now fully intent on pressing his advantage while he had it. His muscles twitched and he moved with surprising speed given his size and build. Still he pulled his up only slightly, wanting to guard quickly should it come to that but enough to give himself enough leverage to put a decent gash across his opponent.* Haa!

AUGH! I'm not going to keep writing! *Hayate yelps as he tried to dodge. Sadly, he misjudged the distance, getting a fair slash onto his side.* Oh, come on! This is a new jacket too! Now it's covered in sticky red stuff! *Hayate huffed, lowering a hand to rub the wound, which was in all honesty hardly bleeding.* Awww, I need a break.
