Licking his lips, he crouched, hiding as an odd looking beast strolled by, it's body looking like a bunch of grapes, while its head resembled a hippo's. It nommed on grass happily, paying no attention to the human, who readied a pistol shot. A heavy, .524 caliber armor piercing round. Its target; the soft flesh of the head. With a small, light squeeze, the pistol fired…only to miss as an unmistakably human voice roared at decibels that, rightly, shouldn't have been possible for the average human. Slowly the hippo turned, its eyes glowing with malevolence…

Shuddering, the dark brown haired human did the only thing that a thin, eighteen year old human with a gun would've done in such a situation; he turned tail. And RAN.

Meanwhile, just around a barren mountain, a distinctly humanoid girl with dark black hair growled, her tummy sounding its grumbling symphony as it roared with hunger! "GHAAAAAAA!!!! I'M STARVING!!!" She roared, grabbing at her head as she shook, glaring. Her voice echoed all around the barren land, prompting a flock of birds to fly away from a nearby mountain top.

"Hey, look Simon! It's one of those beast man freaks!" shouted a voice out from a rather large, dark red robot. A massive pair of eyes and a massive mouth was evident on its front as it glowered at the girl.

"No! I am not a freak! No, I do not want to know what you wanna do with me, and if you try and kidnap me, I'm gonna kick your ass!" The girl shouted, glaring at the gunman before she turned, taking a thundering step away. "Got it!?"  Pausing, she turned, pointing at the gunman angrily! "And furthermore!!!!! Do you have something that I can eat?" She asked, falling to her knees in a decidedly begging manner.

"We ain't got NOTHING to give to a god damn beast man! Especially not one as large as you are!" The voice roared out again, glaring. And why not? Had the girl been standing, she would've easily matched the robot's height. Perhaps even surpassed it!

"But  I'm not a man! I'm a woman!"

" Simon, get this girl something from storage, NOW!"

" B-Bro, but-" A smaller, more wimpier voice started, only to be cut off by the louder voice.

" NOW!"

At that exact moment, Magill chuckled, hopelessly. "I'm gonna die! Well, if I'm gonna die, I'm gonna go out fighting!!!" He yelled at the top of his lungs. Swiftly he turned, in the most dramatic slide ever; bullets thundered out of the muzzle of his gun, perforating the beast once, twice, thrice before it fell. The human blinked a few times in disbelief as the creature gave a pitiful roar, falling on its side. "I did it…I did it!!!" He yelled. Leaping to his feet with joy! "Fuck yeah, don't mess with the best sucker!"

Of course, he failed to notice the rather massive shadow descending towards his future meal, until it was too late; a large, soft feminine hand grabbed the hippo by one of the 'grapes', lifting it up to its owners mouth before she dropped it in, chewing loudly.

Shrugging, the girl didn't seem to notice the screams.  "Uh...mind explaining who you are?"

"I'm an escapee from a cellar. And hungry. Sorry for blowing up at you miss.  The name is Magill.  Nice to meetcha,  Miss really big beautiful beast-lady person?  Or do you got a name yourself beautiful?"

"Well pick me up and I can show you where the grape hippo started chasing me. There might be more of them out there!"
