"HEY! HAYATE!! GET BACK HERE!!!" Hiro roared, running after his silver haired buddy, dashing down an alley way.

"HEY! Hiro! Calm down! I didn't know that Twixy was playing with Shade! How was I supposed to know that!?" Hayate yelped, skidding to a halt in the alleyway as Lassic stopped in front of him, his hair covered in an…indescribable substance.

"Hayate, I thought you were my friend. How could you send a gentleman like me into such a situation?"

"You said you wanted to see a different side of Twixy, so all I did was oblige you!" Hayate said with a grin, smiling brightly.

"So you DID know you bastard!" Hiro roared, throwing a punch to the back of his head. The hit connected, sending Hayate stumbling forward at the same time that Lassic raised his foot, pressing it against Hayate's shoulder.

"Hiro! Don't hurt Haya-" Hiro interrupted Lassic with a heavy right cross, sending Hayate crashing into a wall to bounce off, his eyes spinning.

"Wha-wha-wha…why is the alley spinning?" He blinked, his eyes refocusing in time to see Hiro stomping at his head, rolling away desperately. He stood up with a flourish, lashing his feet out wide in a low kick. Hiro leapt back from it, but the attack caught Lassic, sending him dropping to the floor in a heap with a loud {SQUELCH!!}!

"GHAAAA!!!! MY HAIR!!! That's it!! This is the last straw! You're dead Hayate!" Lassic finally roared, his hair covered in bright red ketchup as he stood up, throwing a heavy hook at the still crouching Hayate. Hayate saw the hit coming from a mile away though, leaping away from it.

"Really guys? I mean, seriously? You two are gonna fight ME in MY element?" Hayate asked incredulously, sliding his hands in his pockets. "Did you forget? I'm a martial ar-" Hayate stopped in mid-sentence, a frying pan slapping into his face from Hiro's throw.

"Shut up you moron!" He shouted, nearing the breaking point. "I'm gonna kill you, here and now!" Hayate blinked, his face bright red from the impact as he regarded Lassic, who was drawing out his claymore with a rather pissed look in his eye.

"Um…I don't suppose we could talk about this?" Hayate asked, laughing nervously as he took a step back, putting a hand to the bracelet on his right wrist. "I really don't want to have to use this…"

He leaned back desperately to avoid another thrown object before he rolled away, raising a hand. "WAIT!!" He cried out, just as Lassic was about to bring his Excalibur down to end the fight. "Give me a minute, ok? Make sure Hiro doesn't try anything?"

Lassic blinked, nodding as he stepped back, grabbing Hiro by the back of his neck to keep him from continuing the fight.

"Hey! What are you doing??" Hiro roared, trying to break free.

"It's rude to attack an enemy that is helpless," Lassic explained, nodding to Hayate. Hayate nodded in thanks as he exhaled gently on the bracelet on his wrist.

"Riot Edge, release…" Hayate murmured. A bright white light rose from the bracelet, covering him as he gasped.

GRATUITOUS TRANSFORMATION SEQUENCE! DON'T LIKE, THEN SKIP THIS PART!
A darkness rose out of his bracelet, layering itself along Hayate's arm in smooth, concentric circles as it wrapped around his hand. The ice cold darkness gathered on his knuckles before expanding out, into the shape of a hand blade. The darkness grew past his elbow, wrapping the arm as though it were some kind of gauntlet, threads expanding as it reached out, curling into the air before they came back down, curling around Hayate's left shoulder before they twisted down his arm, cutting graceful whorls in the fabric of his shirt, gathering on his wrist. The darkness expanded out suddenly, covering the hand as it lurched out, mimicking the shape of claws.

Hayate groaned, moaning once as the blazer of his school uniform fluttered, the material changing into the finest, softest material ever conceived, glowing a brilliant white. A flash of light flashed from his right eye, the iris glowing a brilliant blood red. He looked down to his hand as the darkness solidified, forming into a metal that had an unearthly shine, before he took a deep breath raising the hand blade.

"RIOT EDGE!"

Hayate took a small breath, lowering his hand as he stood before the arguing Lassic and Hiro, regarding them seriously. "Well now. You wanna make it a fight? Let's make it a fight!" He roared. Lassic turned back to Hayate, tilting hishead curiously.

"Wow, since when could you do that?" Lassic asked.

"Oh great, we're in deep shit now…" Hiro muttered with a sigh.
