Description
Ha was trying a new. Once I realized how bad it was coming out I gave up on making it look better. My message of the day is: "Let American biologists do they're job and teach biology." Religion should govern itself and stay within it's own walls. We call a school a school because it's not a church.Related content

My best fried of almost 20 years tried that. I am am very outgoing atheist and no one knew that more than him. He came to my house one day and actually started reading me the bible. I threw him out then later dropped him from my roster of contacts completely. He turned out to not be a friend.
Here is an interesting thought that you might like:
What is the difference between a crazy person and a religious person? I think, a crazy person has a delusion and a religious person shares one.
Meaning if they didn't have numbers they would be seen as crazy.

20 years? that's crazy. has he always been like that or did he just suddenly come to your house?
i think religion is a beautiful thing, but i truly think it's created by mortals in attempt to answer life's questions. much like science.. only science doesn't exist to prove something, it's there to disprove. but yeah, the bibles an amazing piece of literature loL! i just hate it when people are so hardcore about it and try to get you involved = = like what your friend did. that's disrespectful lol

Yeah he would just stop by all friendly. But he was never religious until, he was "born again". That's what happens when some people have problems in they're lives they can't deal with. They become so weak the only thing that gives them comfort is the lie that someone else will take care of it.
But if your the only one that believes that it means your crazy. So, in order to feed they're own weak comfort they try to enlist others as a form of self assurance. "If my friend believes it too then it must be right.."

exactly, like just believe in yourself! i remember being creeped out by my friend when she first told me about her devotion to her religion. it really did sound like crazy talk to me, but lol i agreed to go through the Bible with her b/c i wanted to be nice and i figured it'd be a learning experience.. and i can see how people can get so wrapped up in it, because it pretty much has answers for everything and it provides so much assurance. but the things that Jesus "does" for you is a facade. like, okay, He died for us, I appreciate that... but accept him as my savior? i'll save myself. but yeah, i feel bad because my friend thinks i'm into converting, when really i'm just interested in hearing the philosophy behind the Bible. .. i will tell her soon, though >.> or maybe not..

Best documentary I've ever seen. This is about how I feel. And it helps explain why existence is so much more beautiful and fulfilling without a god. [link] layList&

DDDDDDDD DARWIN!!!!! it seriously does make a lot more sense. religion's just a primitive form of science... people want answers, and humans are creative so we basically made up the answers. it's so weird though, how people could miss something so obvious. and the part with him interviewing the kids made me cringe..
you know his theory was actually based on someone else's idea? the other person is rarely credited hahah

They developed they're idea's symultaniously and separately. Darwin's was published first and had much more data backing it up. The other is well known it just isn't worth mentioning.
But yeah. I like your point on religion being primitive science.

They each had they're respective works displayed and examined, simultaniously, by the big European science guild or what ever it is. The other guy eventually commended Darwin, I believe, on Darwin's much more fleshed out idea and evidence.

Stephen Pinker? The guy with the fluffy hair and the human brain on his shelf? That guy is literally THE leading thinker in human thought. He has a couple really great lectures from TED conferences on [link] . He is one of my girlfriends favorite scientists: [link]
If you have not already the other videos on TED are the best intellectual stuff you can watch on the internet today.
