Description In addition to the _AmazingBox, _reciprocalX, and MengerIFS formulas, the parameter for this image also utilizes the _AbsX formula, which is one of several new formulas shared earlier today by LucaGN. I can't wait to utilize the others. Thank you so much Luca. [link]

This was created in Mandelbulb 3D 1.6.9.1 with minor touchup in Photoshop PS5.

ok so.....here i am asking questions.....you stated the formulas you used here....if i was gonna "build" one from the ground up then i start with the first formula ....a square basically on the screen, and build from there? keeping in mind i have dark hair and a blonde brain and understand none of the math involved here

Well, to be honest, I don't understand much of the math either, so you don't have to worry about me talking over your head. I really think you have the right idea, though, about bulding from the ground up. I am learning from the ground up and have spent countless hours in the "trial and error" phase, but that, I guess, is the process us "math illiterates" have to go through. My first images came from the basic manelbox and integer power formulas and I have tried to build from there. I can say that studying other peoples parameters have sped the learning process along. That is why I have posted many of my parameters. Now that I have a few parameters, I often use them as starting points for new ones.

I don't know if any of that was helpful, but feel free to send me a note if you want more detail.

oh i love apo so much! if you ever decide you want to try some stuff there just let me know also i run a chat room called aposhack tho we do all sorts of stuff there and right now we are working on a few mandelbulb 3d's....we throw params around but none of us know what we are doing....you are more than welcome to join us at any time [link]

I used to play around with it a while back but not to seriously. My sister was more of an apo user (lgmac).
