Every once is a very long while, I am able to almost perfectly translate the image in my head into a finished piece. This is one of those rare occasions. Isn't he purty?PoserPro and Photoshop CS5

I'm greatly impressed with this subject as well as the scene and the attention to detail. Stark contrast between the subject and BG. I'm currently working on a 3D zebra, but can't find a textured stripe pattern that I like, so I keep looking. Favorited.
On second thought after looking through your gallery, I have decided to watch you.Β Β Β Β Β

Really stunning work, I love quaggas, so sorry they went extinct! And a quagga-corn, brilliant concept. Love the interaction between the Quaggacorn and the snake. Interesting that unicorns were supposed to be able to neutralize poison. Just one of those advantages of being a magical creature!

That's an interesting concept. Also a nice reference with the snake to old pictures of Unicorns where they were seen to purify poison..

Thank you. To be honest I hadn't thought of the link between unicorns purifying poison and snakes. I just wanted to give it something to be shying away from.

This is outstanding, Daio, so realistic, you really went the extra mile rendering this quagga-corn. What a great idea, too, really unexpected. I love zebras as well as unicorns, pllus knew about quaggas, so immediately added this to my favorites!

Very nice piece!

That being said, a lot of people who do artwork of quaggas make the mistake of giving them the familiar zebra black and white stripes on the head and neck, as in this picture.Β But if you look at photos of preserved hides and taxidermy specimens of the animal, as well as photos of the last living quagga, the stripes were actually brown/chestnut and white.

Not meaning to criticize your work, it's fantastic.

Thank you. You have a good point. While the stripes look dark brown not black on my monitor, I probably should have made them a lighter brown to make it more accurate.

Thank you. I was very pleased with how he turned out. And you're right I think that snake is about to get stomped.

poor snake NOT:->
always love you're unicorns ,also been using some of your old textures for drow(the Dark and deadly ones) on some new art I have been doing I may post them Β soon here interestingly enough the V3 ones worked equally well on SP3,actually think I have Β posted 2 with them the aerospace show ones

As I remember the mapping on V3 and SP3 is very similar if not identical so I'm not surprised the V3 textures work on SP3. Glad you are still finding use for them.
