  Magic is something beyond meer pageantry and amusment. Real magic draws from the life of the world, Mana. Those with the aptitude can attune such forces. No human can utilize the Mana without a conduit or a catalyst such as a grimore or a staff. Tis why we chant as we cast. Chants are pleas to the Mana, offering of words to turn the Mana into shape, be it fire, ice, or something more powerful.

    But heed this sorceror's warning. Do not think for a second the magic is yours. You draw the Mana from all life. Treat well the Mana, it shall grant you it's power. Should you fail to do so, the Mana will resist, and tear you a sunder for your arrogance.

    So. This piece right here is something I've been itching to work on. Mostly because I feel I've become too stale in my works, which is expected since I've been woking on primarily comics for the past oh...3 years!? Yikes! Well, enough was enough for me and I wanted to do something to improve myself. Lining, colouring, shading, everything. So I went all out in the experimentation!

  And it came out, actually pretty okay. I'm not gonna lie, it came out just as well as I expected. Nothing impressive, but at same time, ultimatly satifying. I've still gotta practice more, but I think I can get the hang of all the technqies given time.

  Also, side-note to throw people off: thanks to a good friend, I only JUST learned about locking layer a couple days ago. Boy is that freaking handy! X'D
