This is from a large series of images I took last year. I was fortunate enough to walk up on this spider as she was having some lunch.Here in Florida, we call them banana spiders. With leg span, this one was easily larger than my hand. Very neat little creature.Related content

LOL! Wrong sex though.
With Argiopes the ones that are big, brightly colored and easy to see are the females...
The males are duller with more browns, less yellow or white markings,
and they're only 1/3 the size.
