From Kingdom Heart 2: Namine & RoxasColoured! ^^ And I'm completely lost when it comes to backgrounds.
I think the virtual Twlight Town is one gigantic bird cage, and Roxas didn't even know he was stuck there(at the beginning anyway). So if you did't realize you were being imprisoned, would you still yearn for freedom?
Finger-painting on a Touchpad just isn't the same as holding a pen. *sniff, sniff* I wanna a Tablet. But I've never used one before and I'm a little reluctant to throw in the money. Those things are freaking expensive. >.< So a question for those who have a Tablet, does it help a lot and is it worth it?

And yes I know that little scenario meant nothing to the picture but it asked for it.....
The picture is very well done and the whole 'Bird in a cage' thing really did work out for roxas!

aw, that's wonderful! i love the design of the drawing, but yeah the background does take a little away from it. *laughs* but its still great!
tablets are sooo fun >> i bought a 5x4 one on amazon for about $80? totally worth it. then my brother gave me a mega huge one for christmas, so i use one on my laptop, and the other on my pc. i think tablets help you get specific details into areas quickly that you would have a tough time just doing with a mouse. well, for me anyway *laughs* ^^

Wow, this came out so perfect ;_;!!! Roxas looks so cute. Your coloring is like a million times improved with each picture and it was already awesome to begin with XD I like how you did Namine's lips too. Overall though, I really have to say I love the concept you based this on. It's a really powerful idea and interesting - if Roxas knew of his caged status for longer, would he have accepted it still? In any case, I really love this *_*

I forgot to respond about the tablet. It does take some getting used to but I would definitely say it's worth the investment if you know you will be coloring/drawing often. I've had the $100 version (5" x 7" I think) for maybe four or five years now and I still need to use the shift key to keep my inking lines straight, but the most useful advantage is that coloring becomes much more natural. Most people get to the point where they can draw directly on the tablet; unfortuntely I do not have as much control XD You shouldn't need to get anything bigger than that for the same effect - I did recently get a new tablet that's practically the size of the monitor, but I get the same effect in my drawings - maybe it's just slightly easier to do more detail, but I could just zoom in to begin with.
Also, Tablet PCs aren't worth it. I had one for awhile-- they don't design it for artists, they make it for businessmen too lazy to take notes on paper. When they can make the tablet PCs fast enough to handle graphics programs, I'd look into it, but for now it's not a good investment. Basically it runs too slowly and most monitors are too dull to be able to see how you're coloring clearly.
The Cintiq is a computer monitor that you can draw on, so it's not portable like a Tablet PC, and these ARE geared towards professional artists and work well - but I think they run up to $2000+. You'd gotta be pretty serious about art for that, I'd think XD

I'm thinking about getting the $100 version, too, which is actually about $150 here in Canada >__< Drawing is like one of my main hobbies, so I figured I might as well put the money in it. ^^

You did this on a TOUCH PAD!?! Holy crap! I thought it was really good for mouse art, but TOUCH pad! Jeez, I could never do that O_o;

Wow, this is amazing!!! Makes me yearn for the game all the more, stupid UK not getting it til oct. I've got a tablet that I got off ebay and I'm still breaking it in. I'm not all that good at it yet, but I think these things are practice practice practice really. It's a little strange "drawing" and then having to look up to see what you've actually done. I really went for one because my hand was always killing me after trying to do lineart with the mouse. So I guess it's up to you if you want one. Hope you have the best of luck anyway!

The main reason I want one is I just suck at finger painting, it never comes out the way I want it and I can never draw curve. And it just feel weird to draw something without holding a pen/pencil/etc.

I couldn't draw anything good with this stupid mouse, and yeah I still can't draw perfect lines with my tablet yet but I'm sure I'm sure I'll get better with practice.

I shall throw in my 2 cents on the tablet thing. I don't own one, but I use my sisters (At least until I can get one of my own) I think they're worth the money, and nice to use.

I really like it!!! I background is cool too!! I used a tablet once but I wasn't very good (damm shakie hand) but I sometimes wish I had one. I think it make things a bit easier.

Dont worry. Bying a tablet is worth your money. Its actually alot easier to use than it seems. the only thing, is that you have to get used to drawing while looking at the screen instead of down at the tablet, cause obviosly you wont see what your doing. Another thing, it comes with alot of other cool features for like backgrounds and stuff(No offense, but it seems like that would be helpful to you). Anyway, uh yea, info on the tablet.
