UPDATE: Icon Set IS FINALLY RELEASED AND READY FOR DOWNLOAD!Here is a second preview to my newest icon set: "Flat Colors Icon Set" (name may change)

As you can see, I have developed icons for Office 2013 (just about every 2013 program), for Office: Mac, lots of Google service icons, Library icons, hardware icons, etc! Also included will be several Mac-exclusive applications such as iMessage, iPhoto, Dashboard, iMovie and many others!
This set will be very large when completed, AT LEAST 300-350 ICONS WILL BE INCLUDED!! Possibly more! Hope you enjoy!

Actually, Android didn't inspire me to make this set at all, it was just... umm... I'm not sure how or why I came up with it, just seemed like it had to be done, modernized flat-styled icons, I really like the concept.
Also, thanks for the suggestions about what to do, I've considered adding a 3-dimensional kind of look to these icons, and many of them have this aspect.. I may incorporate the idea more though... but that's a lot of work, I'd like to get the set initially released first and foremost.
And you aren't the only one that seems to be growing rather excited for the set, the anticipation... honestly, it is A LOT of work, close attention to detail, and lots checking for possible mistakes or quality issues... I've been quite busy with school lately, it's the 2nd semester of my senior year in high school and so there is a lot of work to be done, and homework-heavy classes.
I've had a bit more free time in my schedule lately, and so I've spent a lot of it (when I get the chance) working on the set, adding new icons, perfecting current ones, making them in HD and standard sizes, etc.. I really hope the results will be worth the wait!

That "W" icon next the the O? That is Office: Mac's Word logo, and the O is Mac's Outlook logo..

Yep, I have made icons for Office 2010 and 2013 for PC, and Office 2011 for Mac!
I've had some more free time lately because I finally finished this huge and crucial project thing for class.. so I'm spending a lot of my free time trying to catch up on the set! I really am trying, I'd really like to get it finished and released!

Take your time, I think we all appreciate your effort and the fact that this is free.... school comes first, you should get into graphic design.
One artist here also has some metro icons, but they fail to have a good resolution when they are 16x16

And of course it's easier to make good looking icons at a lower resolution... but they don't look that good when you need them larger.
Also, yep, the 256px icons WILL be free! But in case you are unaware, just letting you know, I am also making a 1024px HD version of all the icons as well! That will cost a bit of money, but not much.. so look forward to that possibly!

Thanks! And we'll have to see, no promises. I'll likely just make generic folders such as documents, pictures, music, etc. with special ones like Office, Skype, SkyDrive, etc. (all those listed I have already made) ...I might make others though!

Not really sure I understand the point of posting something and not releasing it... several "previews" here, but not a tone of downloads which is a shame b/c your work shows incredible promise. Not trying to troll or hate - just trying to wrap my head around the practice. Cheers!

Yea, I see what you're saying here. I know it just gets people's hopes up, but releasing previews is a common thing people do on large or important projects. I know people want this set, and so I want them to get a taste for it so they know whether it's something that's worth waiting for. Preview #3 is probably going to be the last preview before the final release, or possibly one more still.. either way, it'll be coming soon and that's what matters!

UPDATE: I have made a 2014 styled icon for just about every major Autodesk application... including Autocad and Maya. But I'm not positive what the official logo for SketchBook is. If possible can you send me a link to a picture of it for reference?

Thanks, I'll try and get to work on this as soon as I can. And actually, for most of my icons, I use Office PowerPoint 2013. And for more advanced or technical icons, I use Adobe Illustrator.
