INFO: Flower Maiden/Tangül (sunset rose)
Tangül emerged from the sprout of a blue rose during the chaos of the minefield on a day when the sacred earth was sent up with poisonous gases. The blood that flooded the earth and the poison that saturated it created the essence, gave shape to a formless creation of misery.
It is beyond anyone's control, including its mother earth, which gave birth to it.
The human spawn of greed, combined with the sinless earth, created the Flower Maiden. As a creature of beauty, she is condemned to take life from her mother.
Tangül appears in the fall to take, to suck, to pluck out all that is filled with the energy of the earth. It takes one step, a few seconds, and the world around it dims, the leaves crumble, the grass withers.
The movements are at times abrupt and jerky.
With her first appearance, Flower Maiden looks like an old, ungroomed dog. Her coat doesn't begin to shine until after a few weeks of "hunting," her eyes sparkle, and any cracks from her skin gradually go away. By mid-fall, she looks majestic and bright.
She is never the first to touch travelers. However, if they persistently try to follow Tangül, she always leads them to places where explosive objects are left in the ground.
The Flower Maiden herself moves very easily. The step is stale only when Tangül finds a patch of fresh grass.
