Description
My first birthday gift to .This is a scene depicting her OC Ayla and myself as werewolves.
After a short non-violent argument, I storm off away from Ayla, believing that there's no way that she and I are the same. Ayla, on the other hand, believes she can see a common connection between us, as she is seen sneering in the distance. Undeterred, she knows that I'll come back sooner or later anyway. Or maybe perhaps she'll end up finding me while I let off my steam in the nearby forest.
Now, worryingly, for my fears, the design for our werewolf forms are unfortunately based off that mad-dog featured in John Landis' An American Werewolf In London. Surprisingly, the film's werewolf pays a striking resemblance to those that are found in Swedish folklore, which is a man-sized wolf with no tail, and a thirst for blood. What's worse, unlike their cousins further south that require a full moon to transform, Swedish werewolves can show up any time of the day, either unintentional when angry or deliberately when they actually want to.
However, I managed to incorporate some differences to the American Werewolf. For eg., more expressive eyes, a more calm facial expressionΒ and the addition of whiskers.
In the case of Ayla and I, we also have different colour patterns. Ayla retains her original colour/pattern scheme, whereas I have very similar colours to the American Werewolf, yet I have some striping at the front of my body. Which is ironic, since that design gives me the creeps.
Anyways, I hope that the special birthday girl would like this.

I take it she aint a fan of Werewolf Tails, huh?

More like a small bobtail.
Yeah, she feels it gives a slightly more "human" feature. Still very animal-like, yet some small human aspects too.

Ick, whut kind of Tail is that? There's 4 Coccyx Bones down thar. Surely they would also elongate as well as the Hands, Feet & Face, no?
Um, no. The "Human" aspect is actually a ploy based on illusion. Not too mention confusing when the rest of the body (face included) looks as Animal as it is.
The Tail is no different in that aspect; you can have a bipedal Werewolf with a Tail and it would STILL look a bit Human in that degree:
Β vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/mβ¦
It's all in the extremities that matter.
What ultimately makes them more Human is NOT in their physical characteristic, but their personalities, which can ALSO be exhibited through the Tail. I guess some people need to evolve into today's culture & understand proper character development & design, rather than just stay in the past in some instances. (despite that Mythical Werewolves always has Tails to begin with)
Heck, look what it has done to Superman.

Then again, try to consider the continuity of the American Werewolf films.
Yes, I know it originally had a tail in concept art, but I'm just going by what the film had.

I already said that I knew of the original concepts.
Wait, hold on a second! I looked at pictures of Lycaon, the "original" werewolf, and I didn't see a tail, last I checked.

Oh yes, I know...
It was traditional in early Greek/Roman dynasty to interpret a Godly/Mythical being by having only the Head of the Animal that they were represented for.
Technically, doesn't count.

You just wanna see tails on my werewolves, don't you?
'Cause that means I have to redo the pictures all over again.
Besides, in my werewolf world, bones don't add or subtract in the transformation, only reshape.

DW13-COMICS In reply to DakotaSauron666 [2016-09-02 08:53:35 +0000 UTC]
Nah, you don't have to redo all them pics, cuz I already did. Selfish ol' me.
Well, that confusing, buuut, the Coccyx does in fact reshape as would the same to the Face, Feet, Body, etc. y'know
π: 0 β©: 1
DakotaSauron666 In reply to DW13-COMICS [2016-09-02 08:55:50 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, but that requires adding a number of bones. That's the only way the tail lengthens.
And I'm not talking about reshaping in outer bodies, but in bones too.
π: 0 β©: 1
DW13-COMICS In reply to DakotaSauron666 [2016-09-02 09:01:27 +0000 UTC]
Actually, it's not all about "growing bones" but rather the bones being multiplied in cells in order to make the bones reshape.
Even IF the Coccyx were to reshape (as you claim to make), it'd turn out something like THIS:
4.bp.blogspot.com/-f4sk-qgc6foβ¦
Or better yet, even this:
David's Curse 2.0 (Beware the Moon)
So I guess either way, there would be a Tail after all, as it's a biological manner, as pointed out by these dudes:

But then, I'm only being a stickler for detail.

I kinda seem to enjoy the Cartoon TF's a lot better than live TF's. At least most of those toon-Wolves have the Tail sequences:
