Description
Tech Specs: Canon 70D (F11, 1/250, ISO 100) + a Canon MP-E 65mm macro lens (4x) + a diffused MT-24EX. This is a single, uncropped, frame taken hand held.Technique: Early morning shot out at the farm in Gaeta, Italy (temperature about 20C). The critter was very lethargic.

Tjeeezzzz, that eye is big, with the biggest enlargement, you start to wonder, bees make honeycombs, they have the same eyes I guess, could that be the reason why they make honeycombs. Their eyes look like a big honeycomb.

It's strange how having such an extreme close-up on a critter like a moth or butterfly can make them look at least a little more threatening- I adore how their proboscis is still curled! The eyes are also gorgeous. ;v;
