Kinda frustrating when I'm trying to shoot a critter on a flower and it crawls onto my hand.

This is so amazing it leaves me speechless. Plus you took it with only one hand!

Thanks
I shoot the majority of my images with the lens braced on my left hand (usually while I'm holding on to whatever the critter is perched on). Very easy to do once you get use to it, and it helps to shoot with a very short working distance (2" for this frame).

I've read about your technique but never tried it myself. I think you'd probably make a good brain surgeon!

Great exposure and perfect sharpness John! I do like these neutral exposures more than with the warm filter.I guess the colours looks better.
Best all,
Remus

Sweet detail and your finger print looks like rows in a field! Love the deeper dof too! Another fabulous shot!

insects are amazing... so much packed into something the size of just a few of the folds in your finger print.

I don't have a critique beyond...wow at the detail. I read somewhere that they have a nasty bite if they're angry. I just got a new fancy shmancy camera. I wonder if mine can take such clear shots. I'd probably have to smush the bug to get it to stay still.

Just go looking early in the morning before they have a chance to wake up.
