I thought this was such an awesome concept, not only are they both incrediable powerful and fast but they both come from 2 entirely different worlds. When I saw this in 's gallery I had to colourize it.I'm rooting for Goku of course!!

Duuude so many comments! I tried reading them all but it said "due to exccessive comments...blah blah blah" Youre so lucky! I wish people would argue endlessly about my journal entries...But Ive got stuff to clear up.First off Goku would lay a smack down on superman 'cause superman cuold destroy planets sure, but, what was the gravity of it? If a planet has a high gravity you already know that the ground has to be harder. Whats the point in saying "I broke through this planet, the gravity was like, 5" And the moon has a low gravity and is composed of already melted rock. I could maybe bust through it. Also goku is in the future with fliying cars and stuff so the scientist are smarter so "superman's heat" wont be so ipressive. One more thing when goku uses ki he's takin power from the earth which means trees, grass,dirt...kryptonite...Yeah eat it superman.heres some more pointers: Superman is a virgin superman wears tights superman never trained in any gravity chambers that I know of. goku has WAY cooler hair.I wish that bangalo guy would argue with me or that black shadow guy! And Supes been to planets where their tech is way more advanced than anything ive seen in DBZ (But there is the Capsules Bulma made or her dad). Supes has escaped Black holes (HIGH ASS GRAVITY)And he's smashed through planets as well. Supes can absorb Star energy n cosmic(Same thing sorta). (Goku can do the same no doubt Except that cosmic stuff)The rest is your opinion vs the other opinions.

Goku is the Japanese equivalent of Superman. And I say Goku doesn't have a chance. Not even SSJ3. I am a huge fan of both...but I know better.

Well In DBZ An Average Man Has the Power Level Of 5 lol (1st Episode Of Dragon Ball Z Raditz Checks Farmers Power Level and it Is 5)Broly As A Baby Had A Power Level of 10,000. Frieza's Power Level On Namek At His First Transformation Was Over 1 Million. Frieza Then Transformed Another 2 Times Before He Was At His Final Form. Then He Only Used 1 Percent Of His Power To Fight Goku Until He Used His 100% Full Power. What Do You Think His Power Level Was Then? Goku Then Turned Into A Super saiyan and made frieza Look like a joke. That Was In The Frieza Saga LOL. Everytime He Transforms Everything Goku is As A fighter gets multiplied by 50.Speed Strength and Energy. I love superman dude but your not explaining anything to me by sayin you know better. Kid Buu Is the strongest single Character Goku Has Ever Faced..He Regenerated every 5 minutes even if you found a way to destroy him he was really invinicible. At the End Of DBZ Goku Is Fighting Uub At The Martial Arts Tournament. And Uub Is Kid Buu Without The Evil. He Didn't even transform he was fighting him on Normal State and they where even. Thats Alot Of Progress. Hes fighting a ssj3 Paced battle On Normal. Goku Is Invincible When GT starts hes a the lookout fighting with no tranformation again...When he's turned into a little kid his power level gets cut in Half and He cant do Instant Transmission. LOL he then goes around the universe Beatin Everyone he who gets in his way and his power was cut in half lol. Superman Can Beat Goku Pre-Kaioken. After That It's Pretty Much Over. Sorry. No Disrespect But come on Jonbino you arent giving ssj3 credit have you seen what happens at that level? My Fav Level. Hes way too fast he starts teleporting by accident basically. Superman's power cannot be measured, has no limit. That Kanye West song that goes "no one man should have all that paaaaawah"(hate Kanye) is referring to Superman. Not to mention Goku's power ups take way too long Goku'll be like "AHHHHHHHHH -OOOF!!- uhhhh..." *followed by that sound when DBZ characters hit the floor* bye-bye pupils lol.
All kidding aside: I stand by my comment. Ill add this... Goku cant punch this one into the sun. That would be a mistake.

people below me to stop the arguments of who would win, i've done my research (nerd that i am) A lot of the fans are saying superman cant breath in space... he can, a lot of movies, comics, and cartoons, showcase this. Goku cant. but he can hold his breath for an extreme duration of time long enough that during the frieza saga he was able to travel from planet namek to yardrat and survive. From what ive been reading people also have been saying that one of the two would blow up the planet to defeat the other. this is false for 2 reasons. 1. Superman lacks the strength to completely destroy a planet. 2. Goku is too compassionate to wipe out all life on a planet no matter how small.
If it came to a final epic battle as much as a great hero and combatant superman is, Goku would be the winner for a number of reasons. 1. Goku as trained estensively in many forms of martial arts, controling of ki, and pure physical strength. Superman has only had to rely on his basic skill set such as super strength, speed, laser vision etc. with only a couple of technological enhancements when he truly needed it, he never learned a true martial art so in terms of skill the point must go to goku. 2. Goku at his base form not including his other super saiyan enhancements, always had the strength to completely destroy a planet. Superman throughout his entire career never gained the technology, skill, or enhancement that bestowed him with the raw power to achieve this feet, so for sheer raw strength and physical power goku wins again. 3. In terms of speed goku has been known to travel at speeds that make the flash look like a snail and since superman is a ways slower than the flash... need i say more?

Goku didnt escape Namek by flyin out of there n holdin his breath (prolly could hold is breath)He tried to escape by using friezas spaceship but that failed (it fell n lava I was laffn) He then found i think vegetas sayin pod got n jabbed a bunch of buttons till it took of n escaped the explosion. N he was too (My opinion) to tired to fly to a planet. Even if he wasnt tired he would be holdn he's breath 4 a very long time lookin for one unless he locked on to an allies ki energy.

I have a two friends who are, like me, big anime and comic book fans. I am most often the mediator between the two... Looking over all the facts, I always come to a well considered and practical answer to this age-old Internet and Fan debate.
My answer is entirely dependent on the era this fight were to take place. For instance, if the era was pre-crisis Superman then Goku would lose for sure (probably even GT Goku at super saiyan 5). However if the fight were to take place post-crisis Superman then I believe that Goku would most certainly win the fight.

Sorry, I am a bigger fan of Supes than Goku, though I do own every US and Japanese version of the DVD's of all the series from Vanille DB all the way to not so good DBGT.
