I thought this was such an awesome concept, not only are they both incrediable powerful and fast but they both come from 2 entirely different worlds. When I saw this in 's gallery I had to colourize it.I'm rooting for Goku of course!!

Goku and supes have many similarities.
Both came from lost planets and goes to earth to be the hero.
Both fights fair and square.
And both married a human.
The big difference is that, goku can teleport and can destroy whole planets in a snap. While seems not able to.

its not that hes getting beat up, both of them fight fair, supes would let goku power up and goku would give supes a senzu bean not that he needs it but they deff would want it to be good and fair.

it looks like a dragon fist technique to me. One of goku's deadliest attacks that can kill in one hit.

I agree with BlkKitsune on this XD DBZ characters do travel faster then Superman because you don't even see them move plus Goku has Instant Transmission. But why would they be fighting in the first place? They're both good guys, unless Superman has gone evil..again?

Alright folks, the only possible way Superman could win this battle is by convincing Goku to go somewhere else. Admittedly, this wouldn't be hard, as Goku has roughly the intelligence of a lichen-covered rock.
Superman may be faster than a speeding bullet, but Goku's faster than a freakin' photon. How do you think they hit so hard in DBZ? Density increases as you near the speed of light. Hence: Goku is infinitely dense (explains his stupidity problem.) Also, how do you think the last 5 minutes before a planet blows up lasts 3 weeks? Time slows down as you near the speed of light.
Goku just zips up, rips Superman's arm off, and beats him to death with the soggy end.

Faster than a speeding bullet? You're thinking of the classic Superman from many decades ago.
He has since travelled to other galaxies unaided and raced the Flash, who can travel in time at will using merely his raw speed, on equal terms. High end speed feats in Dragonball involve circling a single planet, which is millions of times smaller.
Goku has never demonstrated lightspeed feats that can't be explained away by filler or non canon material. Instant Transmission is useless as it requires a notable ki source to lock on to and time to think. He also cannot teleport over any distance. For example, he was unable to travel to New Namek, as it was "too far away".
Time slowing down due to lightspeed? You're suggesting Goku travelling at lightspeed somehow effects the local time of an entire planet? It was most likely simply an over-exaggeration on Frieza's behalf or a mistake.
Hard hitting? Superman once ripped a moon in half by flying through it, whereas Dragonball punches dent mountains.
One of your posts also mentions the Genki Dama. You are aware it only harms those of evil hearts right?

tIME IS RELATIVE WHEN IT COMES THE CHANGES IT INCURS DUE TO MASSIVE SPEEDS. We wouldn't be able to see them move, but from Goku's and Supe's perspective everyone else would be moving very slowly. It would also explain why they can take so much punishment, due to speeds close to light and the increase in mass.

You also seem to think punching through a moon is a small feat. I would like to see Goku performing a better physical feat.
Goku's inability to go to New Namek is an example of is Instant Transmission being limited. I like how you completely ignored my point that Instant Transmission is useless as it requires a notable ki source to lock on to and time to think, as well as my point about Superman simply being far faster.
Superman has survived far more than planets exploding (supernovas and black holes being good examples), ssj4 isn't canon, as it isn't based on the manga and Gogeta would require help from Vegeta, which is just unfair.

and supermna may not be able to breath in space but he can hold his breath for....well a really long time. read the comics watch the movies. like where he flies through space for five years. and last time i checked goku's powers didnt incllude kryptonite.

SUPERMAN... ftw... use gravity control to rip goku to shreds. SUPERMAN at max power 'cannot be killed' and can RIP apart the fabric of the universe. Don't believe me? Go find and read some Superboy PRIME (Boy being the keyword) and Superman 1 million where they introduce Superman PRIME (Original Supes at full power).
Main thing is Supes always hold back and get hit cause every hit he takes the others dont have to. And he holds back his powers cause he is literally so powerful that he can destroy everything if doesn't hold back.

You know... I KEEP hearing about how people in DBZ can take out galaxies... planets... etc.
Yes... never have they ACTUALLY shown that.
And if you're gonna argue... feel free to check... I checked DragonBall wiki and asked my friends who read the comics. They just laughed.
And if you're gonna bring in that arguement then Superman in Prime form is literally invulnarable and unlimited power. Meaning... no Kryptonite... no nothing can hurt him and he can not suck out energy, he can super charge himself from yellow stars.
And instant transmission ?... You guys DO know that instant transmission is nothing but Goku transmitting himself in light form... ala light speed, hence instant transmission.
Superman can SEE and have the reflex to actually SEE the instant transmission and react. Also, his heat vision, it can be worked out in a LOT of ways... ala... he can actually do pulse bursts to ACTUALLY mess up Goku in instant transmission form.
The dude can REPROGRAM hyper advanced machinery with his heat vision.
THAT's how much control he has... and unlike Goku's so called blowing up planets n galaxies which never took place. Supe's all the stuff I mentioned... DID take place.
Lastly, GOKU needs to stop fighting to focus on healing... Superman doesn't... lastly... that instant transmission speed ? Yeah... superman can move at that speed... not only that he can actually HIT during that speed.

look i love both superman and goku but when u really look at it goku will, yes superman does collect energy from the sun, lazer beam, ice breath, super speed which almost can catch up to the flash and his infamous strength, goku will have the advantage because he not only has his super saiyan forms, kamehameha , and instant transmition which is basically like teleporting with out rules, he has the knowledge of a martial arts fighter which unlike superman does not know. and even bruce lee (if anyone respects him here) said to have knowledge(as in the art of fighting) will be the greatest weapon.

Unlikely universe-universe cross-over, there are almost no common elements any writer could start to tell a convincing story from. But one: both Superman and Son Gokuh are the kind of guy that could enjoy a good fight anytime, anywhere (if nobody else is trying to take over/blow up the world that day,of course).

Goku needs a monologue and a 30 minutes episode to use his strongest attack; Superman is faster and smarter, so he wins.

No one would win. Goku and Superman would realize that they've been played against each other by Darkseid and Frieza, beat the two villians from one side of the galaxy to the other, then sit down had have a cold one together, lol. That's just my opinion though.

If the planet gets destroyed in the process of them fighting goku will still survive he will use his instant transmission... i mean c'mon how could supes keep up with that

I'll finally add to this conversation yet again lol, One thing that everyone who seems to forget, is that in the universe of Dragonball is that it takes a certain amount of energy to destroy a planet; as demonstrated by vegeta in his first fight with goku. Again it was demonstrated by goku in his fight with cell, now they limit the amount of energy and also divert it to keep from destroying the planet. It is safe to assume that goku without his super saiyan powers could blow up the earth with just the kioken. The released energy is just an extention of their own abilities. Superman would be an equal of goku in almost any form but I still think SS3 and SS4 forms would be to much for him as his own abilities are quite limited.

Well i have doubts about that. Superman has proven time and time again to be able to defeat omnipotently powerful beings who were capable of destroying worlds, or even universe's like the Anti-Monitor was, and he was a much bigger threat than Cell or Broly! And again power doesn't really matter in the endm only skill and experience, something Superman has a lot of. Plus Superman is strong enough to fuse coal into diamonds, turn a planet backwards on its axis, survive Zues's thunderbolts, and is almost as fast as the flash!

this is a no win conversation lol and I love it, basically anything that can be done artistically has been done, plot wise eh but goku an supes are just mirror images its just that one of them can turn yellow. But if they put the creators and the fans together to decide who wins or who's stronger like supes vs hulk it could be decided once and for all.

Fantastic artwork and I really love the coloring job you did for it although I am curious as to what happened to Superman's big "S" was it ripped off? Or did you not bother coloring it?
I have to say that there wouldn't BE a winner. Why? Because aside from their insane powers. Both heroes are talkers. Meaning, that whatever misunderstanding that got them fighting in the first place would be talked out long before there was any serious damage to either one of them. So both would try to talk out their reason for the fight and try to resolve it. I'd bet that Superman (with his brains) would see first that they don't need to fight and THEN talk Goku out of it.
Now that THAT is out of the way... Pre-Crisis Superman and Goku at Super level are both crazy powerful. Superman is pretty invulnerable (at least he's reported to be remember?) While Goku is just plain tough but NOT invulnerable. Superman has super-healing when exposed to sunlight. Goku needs a sensu bean to completely heal quickly. Oh, and speaking of Superman's invulnerability, I am curious... do you think Goku's fist is hard enough to hurt a man who can take a hit from bullets without harm, while Goku has to avoid or catch them? Sure, both of them can catch bullets with superspeed but I doubt even Goku can travel unaided through time like Superman can (which suggests speeds many times greater than the speed of light). Even Goku's "Instant Transmission" reportedly goes only at EXACTLY the speed of light. So in a speed war, Superman has the edge. Now, strength wise I would say that it would be a pretty close battle to be honest. Both can shatter mountains and so forth with a single punch. Now as for other no physical body contact attacks such as heat and Ki (also known as Chi if I remember right), the both of them are fast enough that they could avoid any lethal attacks UNLESS Goku's attack was going to threaten the lives of innocents. In which case Superman would do what he could and Goku would possibly win. However if Goku knew that the Dragon Balls did not exist to wish back people. I am pretty sure that even he would avoid taking lives. (Vegeta wouldn't care) Also power-wise, Superman could survive outer-space much more easier than Goku as Goku would need a space suit. I also imagine Superman could hold his breath a lot longer than Goku as well. So within an atmosphere 1 on 1, it would probably be a pretty close punching battle. In space, Superman would win the punching battle. If I remember right, Superman demonstrated IN THE OFFICIAL COMIC kind of Kryptonian form of Ki mastery. Also, I doubt Goku would have the time to pull off his major attacks before Superman's great speed countered it once he realized what was going on. Goku's Kamaheha (however you spell it) attack would not work on Superman a second time once Superman sees the attack in action. He would avoid or zap him with heat vision to distract him or something. Let's not forget that Superman has many supersenses as well that could aid him whereas Goku has normal senses and Ki sensing.
So in the end, I think if they were to go all out for taking the other's life (something that usually is AGAINST Superman's moral code of honor) then I would have to say Goku would win because while being a good guy, Goku has proven that he has NO problem with taking the life of a guy he sees as the bad guy repeatedly. As far as I know, Superman has only done it TWICE willingly in his whole career. Once in the comics where he did it on an alternate universe to destroy Zod and the other 2. The second time, if you really want to count it, would be when he went up against Doomsday. So Superman really tries to avoid it unless there is absolutely NO other way.
In the end: Goku would win if the goal was to extinguish the other. Superman might win if the goal was to knock the other out.

I have seen a lot of Goku vs Superman images on the internet, but this on is just so dynamic. Goku at super saiyan 3(None of that GT crap!)vs Superman just going all-out. So much power in this fight, the world would never be the same again.

Goku would win... Superman can melt things with his vision goku could destroy planets when his power level was only 9000... think about what super saiyan 4 goku could do... a single ki blast could destroy the planet. Not to mension he has instant transmission... superman is just fast.
