I thought this was such an awesome concept, not only are they both incrediable powerful and fast but they both come from 2 entirely different worlds. When I saw this in 's gallery I had to colourize it.I'm rooting for Goku of course!!

Superman can't blow up planets on his own. Goku is FAR more powerful. It would be a good fight, but Goku would win hands down.

I like both Goku and Superman. But when it comes right down to it. I'd say goku would win. I love the art work, but i think u went over board with goku. . . i mean superman might look tough but. . .ssj3 would pwn him -.-

i can safly say Goku would be like an ion cannon on steroides.
but it doesnt mean Superman wouldnt put of one hell of a fight. both with unlimited strength, and power it would be intresting.
but i can bet in the end they come to some sort of agreement that neather is trying to destory the planet and become allies, now that would be an awesome alliance.

This looks awesome. I love it! I think its a stalemate honestly the most likely to die if it were to happy would be Goku but honestly neither one of them tend to stay dead long even if they are killed. This battle would likely never end.

Allow me to present a case that will put to rest any debate on who would win in a battle between Superman and Goku.
In the Saiyan Saga of DBZ, it was stated that Raditz was faster than the speed of LIGHT because he dodged a LIGHT beam from Piccolo. If Raditz was faster than the speed of light, and SSJ Goku is at the very least 75,000 times stronger and quicker than Raditz, logic would have it that SSJ Goku is more than 75,000 times faster than the speed of light. Is Supes that fast? He wishes.
Also, if Frieza could blow up a planet using one finger at 1% of his power, and SSJ Goku is as powerful as Frieza at 100% power, it stands to reason Goku is powerful enough to destroy the majority of a solar system (not that he ever would). Is Supes that powerful? Again, in his dreams. On a side note: later in the series when Goku goes SSJ2 and SSJ3, his power becomes exponentially greater. At that point he could blink and Supes would be history. So, who wins between Superman and SSJ Goku? GOKU! No contest. The closest thing to a good fight between Superman and Goku would be if Goku was at the strength he was early in DBZ when he fought Vegeta and Nappa.

That's a horrible dub line. Raditz was never stated to faster than light in either the Japanese version or the manga, "just blindly fast".
So what if Frieza destroyed a planet with a beam? Supes destroyed a planet by Punching someone. He shattered a planet by punching someone. He also wiped out a galaxy by sneezing. He could travel from earth, and straight into another galaxy in less than 3 seconds. And that's with pure speed no crappy teleport move.
You have knowledge of DBZ, but it's based on the horrible dub version. And you have next to no knowledge of Superman's history. You seriously need to read some of Pre-crisis & Silver Age supes.

Well, at least you rebutted me in a civil manner. Thank you for not flaming me like jasononline. But, even if you go with the Japanese or manga versions of DBZ, you cannot definitively say Superman would win. It all comes down to which version of Superman and which version of Goku(pre-SSJ, SSJ, SSJ2, SSJ3) you are comparing. And, they have to be on a breathable planet for Goku and with no kryptonite for Superman. On a different note, Goku's instant transmission requires a lot of energy and focus to use, so it's not fair to call it an illegitimate move.

& Your welcome. Yes I know about the various version of Supes and Goku. I mentioned the IT cause people seem to confuse it with speed usually when it's a upgraded teleport move.
Golden Age superman may not be a good match for adult Goku, but with him against Kid Goku in DB would be an interesting match up. While the animated version of supes is at best around low Frieza level and Pre-crisis is just flat out broken, I think him and Vegitto(super saiyan) would have an interesting match.
Though I rather avoid Superman Prime as much as possible cause he could just solo the DBZverse at his max potential. They simply made that character too broken.
Personally I would like to see a Superman and Goku crossover movie, with Darkseid setting up a situation to where both heros would end up fighting each other only to end up teaming against the Dark God. Sure it's an overdone ending but it would make a nice ending to the film.

That would be pretty cool to see. Like if Darkseid gained control over one of their minds and forced them to fight, but during the fight the one being controlled breaks free somehow.
Another option could be that they spar each other for charity or something, kind of like Superman and Flash racing each other.

I choose Darkseid cause in the comics he has the ability to wrap reality and I can see him being the main antagonist of the movie pitting those two against one another. I Could imagine them sparring with one another for the ending for the film.
I also find it funny cause in the Western World, generally people hate Supes for being broken, its the same with Goku in Japan even though they both aren't the most powerful mange/comic character.

I will just post what I posted on a diff SMvsGoku pic. There seem to be a lot of people here who know little about Superman or Goku. I can't believe how many ignorant people there are, saying Goku stands a chance against Superman. So sad.
Also, before I post what I said, I'd like to add a few points: Ki is not magic, it is an energy source. Goku does not get stronger the longer he fights, that's not how it works. He has to almost die and then he has to heal and recover completely. To that point, Superman can just fly into the sun for a boost of energy if he needs to so it's a moot point in the first place. Goku can't just teleport Superman to a red sun since Goku has no clue that will make him weak. Same goes for kryptonite if anyone has tried to bring that up, I don't know cause I haven't bothered reading all the comments. Anywhoo, here is my post:
Superman is many many times the speed of light, Goku isn't close to the speed of light. The only thing Goku has over Superman in this department is Instant Transmission which is shit, Superman reacts and moves so much faster that even if Goku teleports right near him Superman will have ample time to crush him before Goku and fire off a burst. In speed, Superman wins.
Superman can move and bust planets with his physical strength, Goku can't. In strength, Superman wins.
Superman's heat vision is completely off the charts to scientists who can measure the temperature of the core of the sun. Goku can bust a planet. Personally I would give it to Superman just for the sheer versatility he has shown with his heat vision, not just using it for blowin shit up like Goku, but for the sake of fairness I will say they are tied for energy abilities.
Superman can survive planet destroying attacks, Goku can't. In durability, Superman wins.
Goku trained in martial arts when he was young and then focused on training his energy powers and ki instead of martial arts skill. Superman focuses mainly on basic brawling but does have experience in different fighting styles. I'll give Goku the advantage in fighting ability.
Superman is far smarter than Goku. If you even have to argue this you know absolutely nothing about either character.
So, going by the canon versions of both characters (meaning manga and comic only, no anime filler or errors and most certainly none of that non canon DBGT bullshit fanboys just love to bring up), and going by them using their abilities to their fullest, Goku just doesn't measure up to Superman. Superman outclasses Goku, it's as simple as that. Superman could kill Goku before Goku even got a chance to think to do anything, that's how far apart they are in terms of speed and strength. It's so annoying to see people say Goku would win when if they bothered to do actual research into the characters and disregard noncanon material such as anime and cartoons they would see that Superman is the more powerful (and, when written correctly, quite easily the better) character.
Great artwork, sorry for the rant. It's just a pet peeve of mine seeing people say that Goku could actually beat Superman when, as is obvious to anyone who knows what they are talking about, he can't.

Ok think about it this way, dragon ball characters are constantly growing in power. We know this because each enemy is stronger then the last. The characters know this because they are either as strong or stronger then they where when they last fought the previous enemy. This keeps going on until one enemy says hes gonna destroy the entire planet (vegeta) in the past roshi destroyed the moon (it did take all he had) knowing this roshi can tell how much more power it would take to destroy a planet. He then sences vegetal power and knows how strong he is. This method is used to guage the strength of all enemys in dbz.
use this info to find out how strong goku is at the end of dbz. then pull up a comic and find out what supermans toughest fight was. then you can say who you think would win.

First it depends on if you consider chi as an energy source or a form of majic. Also, if Goku knows of a planet with a red sun he could teleport Superman there (possible considering he already teleported cell to spirit world and himself all the way to Namek 2). Also, Goku's proven that he's willing to take a fight A LOT farther than Superman and he's the only one of the two who gets stronger the more damage he takes. But in the end I call it a draw because Goku would stop fighting as soon as Superman quit (or when he got hungry, which ever first)

Goku is by far stronger.Superman is strong too, but Goku by far is in a league of his own. Just look at all the enemies Goku fought. You think superman can beat Perfect Cell? You think Superman can kill Majin Buu? He'll turn him into a chocolate bar. Kid Buu might just...oh man..I don't even want to say it. Overall Goku has faced some strong ass dudes and Superman ain't going beat Buu or Cell like he does his other opponents. Goku's enemies have the power the blow planets to bits and bits. Overall nice image man.

You haven't read much on DC have you? Superman has taken out a Galaxy before by sneezing. Frieza, Cell, & Buu wouldn't survived even mid level villains from DC.
DO NOT go by filler filled anime and it's error translated dub. Nor do you go by the cartoons of DC, you go by the source. The manga and Comics.
Are there some forms of Supes Goku could destroy? sure, but there are some forms of Supes that would only bring DB universe crumbling.
Please note I HATE both characters, but don't spew out garbage when you've clearly not done research.

There was a guide released on DB/z/GT in the 90's and from it the only villain in the DB universe stated to have enough energy to destroy a galaxy is Syn Sheron/Omega Sheron. But since he is not from a source material aka manga, he's a non-factor.
Especially since Dragon Ball Online is going to be the the actual sequel to DB/Z.
